Join me for a Yoga course!

My humble sketchy offering for the day, complete with pretentious-feeling signature to show that it really is my work (thank you for the suggestion @jimy74).

This is my doggy waiting for someone to throw a toy for her to fetch. She is a spring-loaded, hair-triggered, pent-up, ready-to-be-explosion of energy and movement.

Here is the photo I worked from, so you can see that her ears really are that big (slightly photoshopped to get rid of my phone number off the tag).

I've hardly done anything lately because I've been so busy! How often do you hear that? Somehow, we manage to be busy while feeling like we get nothing done. I've done very little on Steem this week, but at the same time I've kicked a beehive out of my house and written up a four page proposal for my daughter's upcoming NDIS plan review.

So, it must be time to take on something new, right?!

Edx is a MOOC site. For those not up with the jargon, a MOOC is a Massive Open Online Course. Edx runs courses from major universities, including Harvard, MIT and other universities of that calibre. For something a little different, I've chosen a course called, "The Science and Practice of Yoga" being run by University of Texas, Arlington. Here is some of the course description:

In this course, you will learn how to practice yoga on the mat as well as in your everyday life using aspects of yoga that are immediately applicable to you. Having taught yoga to thousands of people just like you, we have reduced the practice down to the nectar of what really works.

This course is for anyone interested in learning the science and practice of yoga. No previous yoga experience is needed! We welcome those who are interested in learning the basics of yoga postures as well as experienced yoga practitioners or instructors looking to deepen their practice.

They are encouraging people to form groups to do it together, and also to blog about it. So, I thought I'd run it by my fellow Steemians. Who wants to learn about and do some yoga with me? The course is free to follow along with, although you can pay US$49 if you'd like a certificate.

Let us get mellow by taking on one more task!
