Ever heard of "line weight"? I'll explain why YOUR sketches need it in this video

in drawing •  7 years ago  (edited)

Sometimes sketches turn out great in perspective and proportions, but there’s something missing. It might look “washed-out” with no depth or contrast to it.

You could solve this by using a few markers to give some shading to the sketch. But what if you only have a pen to sketch with? How can you add weight and contrast to your sketch with just a pen?

That’s what this video is about.

One thing that can instantly improve you pen sketches, is by using line weight. By using line weight correctly, you will be able to give your pen sketches a new dimension of depth and contrast very easily.

I hope you enjoy the video! Questions? Let me know!
