After getting into a serious city pop streak in the wake of my previous post, I spent my evening trying to draw a sketch that captured the sleek, plastic-y glamour the genre encompasses:
The style of drawing is very reminiscent of my high school sketches, which are small pieces that revolves around a central theme, but progressively have elements added to empty spaces in the drawing (the boat, towel, rock formation and the (tiny) chair are examples of this). However, due to my tendency of doing this, the piece has become a little too busy compared to the minimalist atmosphere I traditionally associate with city pop.
...and I still need to learn to draw bigger!
A lovely small sketch, @cogitecture ... There's something kind of nostalgic about it... It's very nice :)
