Revisiting some core principles of drawing

Greetings Everyone,

Once again it has been a while since I posted last on here so today I thought I’d share some of my latest drawings.

As I have been continuing to bounce back and forth between paintings I have also decided to retrace my steps within some core principles of drawing.

Being a painter who is always learning, as you move forward within your development it is all too common of a problem to every now and then to drop the ball when it comes to the fundamentals. Being human, you just have to realize that there is only so much you can focus on until what you’ve learned transforms into a sort of an instinctive bodily knowledge.

..I suppose it’s the same kind of thing when it comes to the martial arts??

When it comes to portraits, while any model would suffice in creating a successful portrait I chose to stick with more easily recognizable actors so that I could challenge myself not only with drawing a well structured head, but also in achieving a successful likeness.

These red pills were very fun to draw :)
