all I do is draw, draw, draw, draw, draw - and I lerv it

I've recently taken up drawing

I started seriously practicing about two weeks ago. I've mostly been devouring some YouTube videos from Sycra Yasin (link below), although Drawing on the Right Side of the Brain by Betty Edwards (recommended by both Sycra and a friend) should be arriving today. I'm stoked about that.

Here's what I spent my night doing:

These iterations were done with my finger and an iPhone app called Sketches, hence the lack of detail on the hands and feet. I have a stylus coming in the mail next week that I'm pretty excited about.

Yesterday was the first time I've attempted full forms and gestures, so I'm pretty pleased with the overall outcome.

There's definitely still A LOT of room for improvement. Some of the proportions and angles are off and I have no idea how to actually shade anything.

But hey, when I remember that this is the first full person I've drawn, and I drew her with my finger on my phone, I'm pretty content with how she turned out.

Of course "finished" probably doesn't exist. Once my stylus comes she'll definitely get some proper extremities.

Yep. Definitely room for improvement, haha. But that middle iteration is totally the background on my phone now.
