I have a couple watercolour pieces that I have been kind of working on. A while back I had some artblock where I could not think of anything to draw, I could not formulate any sort of concept, but I really wanted to draw. So I went to my social media and asked for some drawing prompts. I got some interesting ones and finally I was able to draw!
The first prompt I got was Mulan.
The second one was avocado.
And the third one, my personal favorite, was Confusion.
I started on this one first.
Surprisingly enough when I got this prompt I had an idea right away. I wanted to have this piece be a little bit less anime and more "realistic" and I was really happy with the outcome of my sketch.
I normally dont ink my watercolour piece but I had a specific look I was going for so I did.
I used Liquitex proffesional acrylic ink in Carbon black, with a small dip pen.
And then I started colouring it in with watercolour. I havent finished it yet so I will likely post the final piece later, along with the other two.
Really loving the confusion piece. The inked lines lift it from the page. I think you did a great job giving it more of a realist feel. I can’t wait to see it completed.

It looks wonderful with golden line..And I especially like the way you use colors, somehow it looks like colors are fading creating some fairy tale look @justaboutart.
