How to Draw Curly Hair || model @brittandjosie

in drawing •  5 years ago  (edited)

The easiest part in making a woman's portrait is the hair.
My model for this portrait is @brittandjosie a wonderful mother in the steem terminal. I wouldn't talk about her here now because I am not done with her portrait yet but I just want to give a talk on how I made her curly hair. In support of this blog, I made a video which I will be uploading really so soon for the benefit of all who wishes to see how I made the wonderful hair style on @brittandjosie head.

Now let me explain the short process to it.
The first thing to do is to create the outlines of the hair structure showing the lines which represents the tone and the tint.

After making the outlines, you pickup your pencil to start creating your strands and shades. Both the tone and the tint. All that is needed mostly is to follow the reference picture so as to be guided and conscious of what you are representing. Below are the sequences of the process.

In creating the lovely hair style, that's was just the little process I followed... So easy and illustrative.

In my own drawing,i decided to make the hair more realistic and to add more 3D effect to make the portrait solid.

With love and an artistic view on life until next blog ,when I will be showing and giving more illustration though the making of a good 3D effect portraitures.

I will appreciate your love /vote /comment for my artistic view on Steemit life is highly appreciated.......and I really want to use my works to make impact.
Thanks for reading in my blog
