Drawing hidden animal

mudcrab copy.jpg

My 6th hidden animal drawing series.
Do you see leaves and vines? Do you also see something else?

Living in Borneo brings many discoveries.

This is not an animal to be specific...so better to put it as a creature. I only knew this kind lives in the sea and river before I started my life in Borneo. Here in Borneo and other tropical climate, they also live in the mangrove area. So here in my drawing, I combined the tropical atmosphere with vines and leaves, together with reddish background, so the blaze and heat is strongly expressed.

It has very hard shell and strong pinchers.
Females and males are about the same size, but could differentiate them by the belly.

I have never seen the wild ones yet. They hide deep in the mud.
Does anyone have seen the wild one?

Thank you @adamnickleson!!

The colours simply drew me in. Beautiful work. Love the idea and the execution. Each leaf and plants have been done with great details. Well done.

Thank you!

Nice, I really like this one. :) I shared it on my page, The Mermaid Island. I made something crab-themed this week too, maybe I will share it. ;)

Thank you @stephie.spicer! Aaw, yes, love those crustaceans.... I have few more artworks of crab and lobster😊 Have you seen the Christmas Island crabs and spidercrab molding in Australia videos? ...thoses are something...
Extraordinary!! as how Sir David Attenborough would say.

Yes I have! Those are amazing! :D

I see some kind of crab, a pretty crab.

Yeah! @enternamehere! How are you? I was feeling a bit lonely out here. Thank you for dropping by😊

I've been alive and well, thanks for asking! Good to see you have been busy at your work. You are only as alone as you feel :]

Most of my works I posted here are old ones. Color pencil drawings takes 2 weeks, soft sculptures takes 2 months😨 hoping to be more efficient but... thank goodness I still have loads of them. Haha.
Yes, loneliness is created in my brain... thank you for your company, brought something growing besides moss in my brain tundra.😄

Great art you have there. Mystery crab hidden in the bush.

Why, thank you @legendchew!! Lonely Friday... but stil TGIF😊 Thank you again for dropping by.
