Drawing #1 - Practice - The progression of my drawing skills

Hello fellow Steemians!

I wanted to take this time to share with you my own personal drawings/sketches. I have spent most of my artistic abilities on improving my writing and haven't actually invested much time in drawing. I decided that needed to change because I wanted to start learning how to draw manga so that I can create my own manga stories. As usual, I feel that I'm a little behind in the game (really, though, what does it mean to be "behind") since I am practicing my drawing skills a little "late". That's alright, I know there's no need to rush.

I only have one sketch book I have practiced my drawing in. Without further ado, here are my embarrassing sketches with the date they were completed. 

My very first attempt at drawing a face (4/8/15):

Then, of course, being the impatient person that I am, I had to try drawing my first body (~4/15/15):

I was with my friend who was helping me to draw, Jillian, so I attempted to draw her with Kermit (4/28/15):

She advised that I drew more poses which is what I did (4/28/15):

During this time, I was so zealous to learn how to draw, I was practicing for probably about three to four hours a day just drawing inside this single sketchbook.

I think this is where my art skills took a turn for the better. It actually looks like a reasonable anime  face (5/12/15):

Then, something REALLY changed. I don't know why or how, but my guess is someone must have sprinkled some art dust on me (5/13/15):

After that last picture, for whatever reason, I had completely quit drawing. I probably felt that if I can manage to draw a person's face, that was good enough. I think what also played a part in my quitting was school. I was working full time and going to school full time. 

Now I have free time. So, after two years of absolutely no drawing, I decided to take up drawing again. I started back at the basics. I'm sure you could tell, after I finished drawing 13 simple shapes, I said forget it and drew a flashlight, tea cup, hat, blender, and then a gun (6/21/17):

I knew I wanted to draw anime, so I quickly went back to drawing people. I didn't know how to draw hair, so I decided that one girl would just have to take the hit and look crazy (6/21/17):

So, there it is, the grand total of my... one month and eight days of drawing experience. I'm definitely planning on drawing more consistently. I've been spending my time browsing art and looking at drawing tutorials. I am considering on using copics on my drawings. If you have any advice, please do share! My little drawing skills are in need of TONS of help.
