Dogs are naturally submissive to any creature with a higher pack status.

I agree.

My big dog used to be really chill and friendly, my friend who is a dog behaviouralist told me he's one of the few "normal" dogs she's met. I still get comments on how well behaved he is when he's calmly sitting next to me while I'm huddled under a tree or somewhere else out of the way furiously playing Ingress or Pokemon Go, but he's now dog aggressive thanks to some dog that was roaming around at night that decided to randomly attack our small dog while my partner was walking both of them >_< It's really hard work making an aggressive dog not-aggressive again!

My small dog has to stay on a leash for exactly the same reason as yours, also mine is probably going deaf in his old age but has had "selective hearing" since we got him XD

That park looks like a really nice place to hang out, no wonder the guy and his dog and you all like to walk through/hang there :) This piece is so relaxing and idyllic.

Awwww that sucks so bad that your dog's excellent behaviour is ruined >_<.

It's funny but I only realise it after I have my own dogs, they have their own temperament and no matter how often I bring them around to walk outside, it doesn't feel like their behaviour can improve significantly. Though I do notice that they become less secure when I haven't walked them in a few days because I'm lazy the weather is too cold so it's always good to walk often with them.

Thanks for letting me know more about your dogs, fyn :).

An excellent piece.

Thank you shaidon :).

Dogs > cats!

Hehehe, your crusade against kitty is adorable choo XD.

Well, I love a good piece of art with a dog in it, so you know I'm gonna love this!

Donna, we have so much things that we like in common, it's quite uncanny at times. But always pleasant! <3

Thank you :D.

And like today with your witches :) Great minds think alike!

that doggo looks like he is giving his opinions sincerely to the guy, like he's like saying something important and he is saying it politely, because he is a good doggo and the guy seems like he's listening and understanding :D :D

i love the composition of the piccar, @scrawly ! the guy seated on the bench, with that pose, and the doggo in front of him, they make a very effective triangular arrangement, with the beanie as the summit of the triangle :D :D

Gorgeous sketch~

Love the details also, like the watch and the guy's outfit and sandals :) And the park and the bench (would totally look 130% awesomer in colours) (HINT HINT)

:D

LOVE THIS YO~~~

upvotes and resteems

Hogyaaa I dunno about colouring this one lol.

There's something about it that I'm not completely happy, so I think the best thing is to leave it for a few weeks in the storage until I can make some improvement into it and then work on it some more :D.

Thank you spider :D.

@scrawly
Very good drawing I like in simple natural classic and soft to the eye to be able to detail it without being very loaded. I also like to go to the parks a lot, although I usually do it to exercise and take my little cousins.

Thank you for your nice comment, Axel :).

Very cute drawing!
We love taking our dog to the off-leash park. She gets interested in things here and there, but her strongest drive is to be with her "pack" so she never gets far before searching for us and bolting back. It's actually quite funny to watch.

Ahhh you have a good doggo then, Megan. That's nice of her, to have that strong attachment to her pack. Did you give her special training to do that or is that just instinct?

And thank you :D.

She is definitely a good doggo. She has her challenges (I’ve nicknamed her “Captain Panic” because of her over-the-top anxiety when we leave her alone) but for the most part she is great. We did a bit of training to get her to come when we call her, but mostly it’s her instinct to want to be with us.

Is this an observation sketch from life?

Indeed, I was paying attention to the person for some time since he was busy looking at his doggo. But no, I don't draw there and then in the park. I can't do stuff like that lol.

you are either a dog person or you are not a dog person. I am not a dog person ( or cat for that matter). But I still like the drawing. Nice work.

I like people like you who are open minded about things that are not within your main interest, Paula. I find that a very cool trait in people :).

Thank you ^_^.

awe thank you.

I love dogs, years ago I had a dog called CHIKI, and was extremely quiet, I think he felt superior to others hehehe, nothing disturbed her. Regrettably, she died 5 years ago and I still have not got another partner like her. I liked your drawing a lot, it reminded me of my beloved Chiki<3

It is very sad when our dogs leave us, even if it has happened to me many times.

I am glad that my drawing can make you recall the beautiful memory of Chiki <3. Thank you for letting me know, paokarinat :).

Awesome drawing

Thank you offgridlife :).

Extremely cute ! I LOVE animals. They have the full range of emotions and a soul behind their eyes. You have certainly captured a "moment" here. Lovely drawing. :)

I love animals as well, and the ones I have met so far are such gentle and noble creatures.

Thank you very much for your lovely comment, visionaryart :).

Looks like those dogs are well trained.

Have you by chance have a dog as a pet before?

Oh yes, I have dogs all my life since my parents always keep some in the house :).

Lol..no wonder. Dog is now part of your life.

Wow, I love your drawing. There is so much tenderness in it. I used to have a dog for more than ten years, long time ago. What great time.

I am glad that my drawing can make you remember those great time of you and your dog. I wonder why you don't keep them anymore, but I understand that it can be quite difficult to keep them around.

Thank you, reading your comment makes me happy :).

Thank you.

They look like best friends! Were you drawing when he was sitting there or you did the drawing based on your memory? If you did it based on your memory than WOW, I'd like to have the memory of yours!

Just a practical question - do the owners clean after their dogs? I've seen so many people not cleaning it in Switzerland! Especially older people...

They're certainly best friend because the dog is usually just chilling around him whenever I see them. I paid attention to them for some time without being creepy but I couldn't draw it from memory hehe. At home, I tried to reenact the scene by asking my friend to pose lol.

Hmm some owners clean up, others don't. I guess that's just expected that there are responsible and irresponsible people around us.

Thank you Ms Delish :).

Now I see how the artists work!! LOL

The fines for not cleaning here are quite high but I guess that police is not where they should be as usually :D

Nice drawing, @scrawly! :)

Thank you zanetaviz :).

You are absolutely welcome! 😄

Looks peaceful! I once owned a border collie, very intelligent beautiful dogs. We are blessed to share our lives with our four legged friends.

Border collie <3. I like looking at them at the park, they're indeed a beautiful and smart breed.

Thank you Jeremy ^_^.

Oh is he you sitting there scrawly! 😎😉
