I don't see distinct faces, yet, sometimes an odd vision of an old man or woman but, faded into almost nothingness. So, I am sure this doesn't count.

I am not sure how comfortable I would be in actually seeing someone in the clouds, as to how I would react if it were someone I knew, but was gone.

Soft, flowy effect.

!tip

That is pretty interesting that you see an old man or woman in the clouds :o. I guess we will react differently depending on the faces that show up, if it's someone I know, I probably would feel what I think about the person in real.

Thank you for giving me a thoughtful comment :).

I think you are right about that~ If it were my brother, who passed unexpectedly earlier last month, it would give me better closure as opposed to some random stranger!

Steem on!

Wow @scrawly i See Mandy of your works and Always Like WhatsApp you präsent but this one, i simply Love IT. The Portrait comes Out so easy and Natural...very good wathercolour Work!

I really like this comment. It's either that you are drunk or your phone is, but the result is an awesome comment that made me smile lol.

Thanks bronkong XD.

😅

Very beautiful! You have definitely mastered watercolor. I like the way you put shadows on your face and use different shades of watercolor)

You feel where you need to apply paint, and where to stop and leave a white sheet. Tell me, do you paint the background at the beginning or at the end?

If only I have mastered watercolour, I would not feel UGGGHH often whenever I just put my brush to the paper hehehe. I usually paint the background in the end, but it's not always the case. Sometimes when I'm waiting for the paper to dry, I paint it in the middle of the process.

Thank you Veta :).

Very nice style, @scrawly. Follow you now.

Thank you, I'm glad you like my art :).

Very beautiful @scrawly 😊 I see a lot of shapes in the clouds too, but nothing as pretty as your portrait 😊

Hehehe if I see pretty people at the clouds, I would have spent a lot more time cloud sighting, maybe it'll be similar experience to watching tv XD.

Thanks George.

you are doing really great @scrawly. Have you tried wet on wet yet just to really feel and see the movment? You have to accept less control a bit with wet on wet, but it really teaches how the colour works and what it CAN do. Have fun. I'm probably going to break out the irl watercolours this Summer when I can sit on our beach in the sun, right now I'm thankful for my digital studio, or I'd get no time and work done at present.

Keep it up!

Wet on wet means putting water first before the paint? Or something else? I've been trying different ways of painting in watercolour but most of the times the brush still doesn't work like how I want them to behave. I guess the amount of control that I'm looking for can only be gained by a lot of practices and enough understanding about how watercolour works.

I am looking forward to your watercolour arts. Sitting on the beach under the sun and drawing... that sounds fantastic, well if you still can feel the need to draw and not swimming in that situation hehehe.

Thanks Donna.

I tend to see clouds in clouds, I’m so boring 😆 looks cloudy enough, so beautiful 😄

There's nothing wrong with seeing clouds as clouds. Sometimes simple is best :).

Thank you ^_^.

There's a freedom a growing and a glowing in your watercolour now Scrawly. Retaining the lightness while increasing the intensity can be very difficult. But you are doing it. The splattering in the background is beautiful. Becoming like your signature watercolour style. ♥︎♥︎⚖️♥︎♥︎

I'm glad that this one works out nicely, I'm happy with it even though of course as an artist, we can see flaws in our artworks that other people can't. And I try not to do the splattering too much, though it is difficult hahaha. I really like them but it's better if I don't overdo things.

Thank you Ally :).

Fantastic piece! I like this style you've experimented with the last few days. :)

I'm in my experimentation mood! There are both successes and failures... and whenever I upload the ones that are less successful (not this one, I'm happy with this), I'm always glad that my friends here are pretty supportive of me. I'm pretty lucky :).

Thanks mate.

oh i never saw faces in clouds ! but i think i would like to if they look like your drawings XD i love this one a lot, @scrawly! The figure looks so graceful and elegant like ladies of old and I love how you did the eyelashes and her eyes :D So beautiful~ She seems to be inwardly smiling somehow, such a demure expression that you delivered with those lips :D

And her hair ! Her hair that is the clouds ! Or indeed made out of clouds themselves, oh, so fluffy and soft and beautiful ! I think she might be Queen of the Clouds? And her crown is the multi-jeweled sky itself, the wine/burgundy heavens! Jeweled with countless stars * ___ *

What a charming portrait ! I really like this one very much :D

I do see animals and sometimes random objects in the clouds, but never faces hahaha~

AND YES!!! WAHOOOOOOOO!!!! WEEKEND \o/ !!!!!!!!!!!!

Yep, I definitely think that she might be a sky goddess or sommit, and this is how she appears to her people, as a giant image in the sky. Surely that imagery is quite potent to attract and maintain followers.

Thank you spider, yahoo for the free time ^_^.

Very interesting portrait painting, @scrawly! Thanks for sharing!

Would you be interested in participating in a collaboration with a writer to make illustrations for a story which is being published in chapters, in the Steem Network?

Drawing for other people or projects require me to be in a situation where I'm not as busy as right now. I'll make a post about it when my situation changes because there have been some very nice people like you who are interested in my artworks ^_^.

Thanks for the offer.

Love the use of colour here... very surreal.

I'm glad you like it, I like surreal art a lot too but my mind is usually too logical to think of them.

Thank you :).

I see faces in everything but I think it might be my dormant schizophrenic genes. The walls are talking to me...

The painting is lovely. You're really getting the hang of this!

Hehehe I've seen faces on the tiles too, but never in the clouds yet. As for the walls, it depends on the wallpaper, but I hope I don't see them talking because that kind of things usually are the start of a horror story lol.

Thanks Winston :).

Watering and watering :) I am so happy you are continuing with exploring. On places where you want gentle and melting moments, try to add clean water first, and than just move form edges with color. Color will melt over water areas. Afterward you can wash of or add more color.

I am trying to paint with water first, they do make a different feel to the paper. But on the other hand, I dislike the waiting time hahaha. I wish there is less waiting for the paint to set in properly, I don't have to do this when I'm drawing in digital.

Thank you as always for the tips, Dunja. I really appreciate it <3.

It seems very cosmic with that sky. Feels great! Here it seems you have neat control. Maybe not the kind of control you're after though. But still feels tight, concise.

Yes, I'm like one of those super villains that desire MORE control! MORE!!! :D

Thanks znkd ^_^.

Great idea!

Thank you :).
