Good morning Steemit friends, I would like to share with you some odd adventures I had in my sleep last night.
Nearly every night I have many odd dreams, often very vivid. I often feel like I live in my dreams even more then in reality! Everything in dream world feels dreamy, I don't feel incredibly strong emotions, just a strong feeling that stays generally the same. This is a blessing, because often my dreams are strange, dangerous and unusual. They can involve adventures, fighting or just talking too. They are always weird in someway, and today I want to share with you some very strange things that happened in the dream world last night!
I only recall snippets of a long adventure, probably about 20 different stories wrapped into one sleep. I will retell what I remember.
The first, most vivid and detailed adventure, I will call Flying Dog Caused Trouble and Giant Dried Soup Mix Fiasco.
It all began when we were moving into a new apartment with my mom. For some reason she was moving from her old place into an old brown apartment building that seemed to be near the 711 downtown. We were moving things up into our new place, 3 stories up.
We had a nice large balcony to look out from with white railings. For some reason my dads dog Drea was with us, and as I was checking out the view from the balcony a white kitty cat appeared on the railing. Drea went totally nuts, and jumped onto the railing as well. I was like, what the shit dog? we are three stories up! My heart started racing, and I moved to grab onto the dog well she was fumbling trying to get her footing. Two of her legs were on the railing and two of them were on the other side, she was nearly slipping off! The cat decided to gtfo and magically jumped three stories to the ground. Drea followed, somehow! I thought, maybe she landed in the big pool that was below us or something.
Somehow, I followed here and was on the ground outside the appartment as well. The cat bolted to the left and over a wooden fence into someones yard. The house there was like a nice cottage and there was a fruit tree in the yard. The dog followed the cat over the fence. "DREA GET BACK HERE" I yelled, pretty frantic at this point. I went up to the fence and tried to hop over, but had to take a few steps back and get a running start to get over it.
I got onto the other side and caught Drea, taking her into my arms. The cat was high up or something, because she was not running around like a maniac. I remember jumping back to the other side of the fence, and the dog followed me because I was angry and couldn't carry her over. She knew better then to run off again. I was relieved.
However, that was not the end. The old lady who lived in that house came out in a huff, along with a youger girl who was quiet and seemed like her daughter. They had seen the theatrics. Apparently Drea and or me had wrecked their fence, part of it was just hanging and one of the top parts was broken off. She was pretty mad and asked me how I planned on fixing the mess. I assured her that either Ryan or my dad would come and fix it as soon as I got ahold of them, but she did not seem assured by this at all.
We went over to the part of the fence that was broken, to find a really large bag of soup-mix fallen over. She claimed that I had toppled it and spilt all of her soup mix that she spend lots of time and energy making and she was incredibly not impressed with me.
This bag of soup mix was literally 5 feet tall and wider then I am. She seemed to think it was not fixable and had all gone to waste, and she was not happy at all, muttering under her breath and huffing about.
I had a solution though! I asked her daughter to help me tuck the plastic back under the opening (it was literally flipped over and soup mix was coming out at the bottom, it was like a giant cylinder of dried soup mix in a plastic bag). We both tucked it under the opening good enough, and I asked the lady to topple it over. She did this, and as she did we closed up the opening. Luckily, this worked, and only a small amount of the soup mix spilt onto the ground.
This pleased the lady and she seemed quite relieved and I told her I was sorry for the trouble and that we had just moved into the apartment next door. This is about where my memory of this story ends.... but there are some other odd snippets I can share of last night.
Pink Sketchy Elevator
I was with two of my girlfriends, I don't know who exactly, dream people I guess. One of them reminded my of my friend Kylie from highschool. We were going to do something that I wanted to do, but one of them said that she had to print something off first so with a sigh I agreed that we could go do that first, though a little reluctantly. The library was right next to us so we decided to go there.
We went inside and found an elevator, but it was a really really weird elevator. It was a little tiny oval platform about 2 feet across and the walls were round and pinkish. It all sorta reminded me of a vagina for some reason. Attached to the platform was a handle. All three of us got onto this tiny platform and it started to rise. I figured the platform would expand like in a sci-fi movie, but it didn't! It stayed small, and we kept going up and up! The girls I was with were freaking out, they were both clinging to me since I was in the middle and they only had one foot on the platform each.
The girl to my right fell off the platform, but was hanging onto a rope and dangling off the edge! We were at least 3 or 4 stories up at this point. It was scary, but I managed to pull her up back onto the platform and we made it into the library where the printer was. The dream fades out at this point, but it was a really weird library, all very white and not so many books on that level at least. I remember she went to talk to a receptionist about the printer, and not to ask about the weird ass elevator.
Ninja Games
The next part I remember was playing video games and having a serious adventure, but we didn't have any controllers or anything, we were the video game characters! I know I had some cool battles of my own, but the only one I remember was a ninja Ryan fighting a cute girl with a sword. Ryan was doing all sorts of crazy acrobatics in a ninja suit. It was super cool! I continued on my adventures after this....
Cannabis Door to Door
The next snippet I remember was from just before I woke up. It was Christmas, and we were near my moms new apartment. I was with some dude, and he was telling me about selling weed! Basically I had a bunch of weed and weed edibles and was supposed to go door to door selling them for Christmas. He told me the prices and about all the edibles and sent me off to market it all, door to door. I was a little nervous but figured I could remember the prices and not mess up too badly. I think I woke up before I got around to it though!
Dream Review!
How did I feel when I woke up?
When I woke up from the flying dog dream, sometime in the night and very briefly, I felt a little confused. It was interesting though, it left me feeling good rather then bad. The rest of the dreams weirded me out a bit! Like I said my dreams all have the same feeling when I wake up, sort of uneasy but also comfortable and at ease, I don't think I can describe it. Even if it was a really scary dream I would feel this, though when I have a very positive dream I do feel very positive in the morning. These dreams gave me the weird, uneasy but at ease feeling. Indifferent and curious at the same time!
Reality check- Could any of this stuff happen in the future? Do I recognize any elements from this dream in real life?
Interestingly enough, my mom might have to move in the near future, could this be where she is moving too? It certainly reminds me of a real life building (that building doesn't have a pool, but it could have an old lady next door). I don't really think there would be giant bags of soup mix or my dog jumping from 3 stories up, but the setting definitely could be similar to a waking world thing.
As for the other dreams, maybe I will have some friends who are girls in the future and hopefully Ryan will become a ninja, but these are not realistic. The last dream of selling weed and edibles door to door could actually be real in the future, a little unlikely but possible, who knows?
What would I like to know about this dream?
I would like to know the symbology of the soup mix and mysteriously broken fence, really its all pretty odd haha. Also, will my mom move into a brown apartment downtown? The elevator ride makes only a tiny bit of sense to me, so that would be interesting. Id like to know who the girl was that fell too, and what was she going to print? I also wonder if that ninja was really Ryan. Did I actually successfully sell all of that weed? I really wonder if that will be real in the future!
If this was your dream, how would you interpret it?
This question is for you, fellow Steemians. Feel free to relate it to your own experiences, dreams and symbology, but remember, the dreamer is ALWAYS the final authority on dream-meaning. New perspectives can be very important to figuring out dream meaning, but we must respect each others privacy and not speak as if we know what it means or pressure others to come up with meanings! That is why the question is, if this was your dream, how would you interpret it?
How am I going to take waking-life action on this dream?
Firstly, I think I am going to ask my mom if she is looking for places and maybe suggest or check out that apartment building or ones near that location. Maybe I should be friends with the old lady next door, or since I did buy a bit of soup mix recently, I could make some soup with it!
Hopefully I don't need to act on that elevator dream, but maybe one of my friends is falling and needs a hand? I could probably find that ninja again in my dreams if I go lucid or have strong intention, but I think that I should just keep encouraging Ryan on his ninja path!
As for the last one, well, lol, I can't go around selling weed at peoples doors, but maybe someone needs some edibles for their pain? Maybe they need a gift, since it was Christmas. I could probably help out with this if it so appears in real life. Maybe I should smoke more weed?
This is the end of tonight's dream adventures, there sure was a lot more but I can't remember that all haha.
Let us continue to explore our dreams together! If you are interested in helping me start a dreaming society here on Steemit let me know! I am very loosely basing it off of Robert Moss' teachings in Lightning Dreamwork (what we just did!) and Active Dreaming. You can find info about that stuff Here!
My goal is to get us all dreaming together and sharing those dreams so that we can enrich our lives. We should not forget that we spend a good amount of time sleeping and dreaming, and that it is important! Thanks for tuning in Steemians <3
Ha, I am just like you. I have periods where I almost wake up exhausted from all that dreaming. How about nightmares, do you suffer from that?

Yeah its like I am living a second life haha. I have some pretty messed up and scary dreams sometimes, but rarely do I wake up in a panic or anything like that. I find that scary stuff in my dreams takes on that uneasy but at ease feeling, so it makes me feel a little wierd but totally okay with it too. The subject matter can certainly be nightmarish sometimes tho.
One of the only times I remember recently having a nightmare and waking up panicy is when I had a dream I was stuck on the ground and the sky started to come apart into giant spaceships, sorta like chicken little, and I was totally paralyzed. I had to freak out and wake myself up, and eventually could move again. Dont wanna do that again lol.
What about you?

I have always suffered from nightmares, it comes in periods and then it disappear again - everything from psychological dreams with sorrow, fear for my loved ones etc. to strange unexplainable horror-dreams. But mostly I just dream strange silly thing like the ones you describe above. When I have a period of time where I really dream a lot I have that same feeling that I live also in another place... Glad you do not suffer from Nightmares - it is highly annoying :)

I made a post about a book on dreaming, that really gets into living in other worlds pretty seriously. Its a very interesting read to say the least.
I have died, killed and even been raped in my dreams, but for some reason something prevents me from being tramautized or fearful of it. Only when I dream of someone I really love but dont know them in real life, and I wake up from it not having them, that makes me really sad sometimes in a bittersweet way.
I heard once that you experience thing in your dreams so you don't have to in real life, or to prepare you for real life experiences.

I like that theory. I would rather not have my nightmares happening in real life :) Personally I am not sure what to think of dreams... they are quite mysterious for me.

By their nature they are mysterious indeed. Last night I had a mini pet otter-thing in my dreams and now I dont its sorta sad lol. Its really wierd!
I hope that by growing the dreaming community on here we can revive the knowledge of dreaming, like shamans, since shamans really are dream-walkers.

That's funny. The only dream scene I have in my comic is this one: https://phillfromgchq.co.uk/?phill=26&pa=view&la=en

I don't put a lot of energy into thinking about dreams, I have them but you can't lead your life by them. Thanks for sharing.

We spend nearly half of our time sleeping and dreaming, they are nearly half of our life. I find a lot of inspiration in them! Thanks for stopping by <3

Word! I love reading about people's dreams. There's a pretty cool site that's like a dream blog I venture to every now and again.

I was remembering them every night when I lived in joe rich but now I just get tiny snippets. Like this morning I woke up and all I remembered was "What do penguins do with pancakes? They keep them under the flapjack flipper" like uhh what???
