Kona Coffee

After a delicious coffee and a great cheesecake at the KONA COFFEE in the International Market Place in Honololu I had the worst experience in an elevator. The elevator screen rebooted half way to my Hotel room floor... That was really scary

I had moments in my life where I thought it might be over but this was fun/scary. Always good to know that the elevator runs Windows ... Well at least the main System is probably something proprietary and the Windows screen is not controlling the elevator itself.

The Barista at Kona Coffee was fantastic, the Coffee was really great. And I had one in the Shop and one Chai Latte to go...

Ever had a bad elevator experience ???

Coffee looks great, that busted ass elevator not so much🙀. I was in an elevator one time at a friends apartment, one of this 4 story, possibly 100 year old, Italian elevators. The kind where you close a cage then the door. I personally never feel quite right on anything that I am not in control of, so elevators are not my favorite to begin with. So we get in and are going up and the dam thing stops. We are in between floors and are unable to get out. We ended up having to call someone who eventually called someone else and what seemed like 4 hours later the mechanics showed up to fix it (probably more like 6 hours Italian time, they had to make sure they had a coffee and bitched about something first). Elevators have never been the same since. I still use them, but sure as shit does not sit right when I'm in them😑

I have once had almost a related experience in an elevator though this time it had to do with power outage.

Thank God it was not long before they restored the light but I have to admit, it was really a scary experience. Thanks for sharing.

Hehe...elevator reboot! Yikes

@konzaki2015 - Wow - that coffee looks really great and the place is amazing too but I would NEVER risk an elevator that runs Windows to get to it - where is the CNTRL+ALT+DEL for the elevator reset ???" LOL

Upvoted.

It seems delicious!

People looking for delicious coffee. Some people say the more fear the coffee tastes good.

Almost like that power reboot of that in-flight entertainment you had recently. Both scary I'm sure, but in a different way!

Cool))) Upvoted and resteemed)))

Coffee = Life (as simple as that)

amazing place @knozaki2015 thanks for this article

Moin moin nach dem post mach ich mir jetzt auch ein Kaffee..wünsch was

I'm not keen on Frapps but love Lattes !

That coffee looks yummy!

But the elevator would scare the crap out of me! Glad it all worked out

Other than Kona itself, my favourite place to get a Kona coffee is at Honolulu coffee which is in the Moana Surfrider. I usually get an espresso macchiato.

In 1994, I spent 4 hours in an elevator talking a student down from an LSD trip. It was just him and I in the elevator. The police and paramedics were waiting at the bottom, but he'd pressed the emergency stop.

Nice kitchen :P

first guy looks curiously excited

Yeah, that sure looks scary in a elevator!

With problems with the elevator, fortunately, I did not come across, but coffee is my weakness - I saw coffee now and am going to make myself a cup! :)

woah! its really awesome! great work! @knozaki2015
well i'd rather take stairs instead of riding that elevator its freaky!!

wow amazing pictures of the coffee and it is quite scary when the elevators don t work right. I had a bad experience where I was trapped in an elevator, that happened to me when I was like 9 years old at a hotel, and I was bymyself, and for some weird reason it stopped working and the doors would not open, I stareted pushing the buttons but only number 3 was marked, so I started to panic and waited like 1 minute to press another number and finally it opened and I used the stairs that day.

Since then I am a little bit concerned about elevators, but I still use them, specially the glass ones, but in a way I still feel a little bit of fear, that it closes for a very long time.

Very beatiful place..😋

Want to hear something truly scary? Trident nuclear missile submarines also run Windows. It's even called 'Windows for Submarines', which while maybe not as bad as 'Screen Doors for Submarines' still sounds pretty ill-advised!
