- Protect your heart. Italian studies have found that participants who drink beer in moderation have a 42% lower risk of heart disease than those who do not drink alcohol. However, drinking beer every day should not exceed 1 pint (about 473 ml), which is equivalent to 1.4 cans.
- Good for the brain and memory. American studies have found that participants who drink beer before doing brain puzzle training can help improve test scores.
- Prevention of type 2 diabetes. Dutch research has found that drinking beer (1 to 2 cups) a day is a significant risk of developing type 2 diabetes.
- Good for kidney health. The Finnish study found that drinking a bottle of beer a day can reduce the incidence of kidney stones by 40%. Researchers say that beer has a diuretic effect and helps keep the kidneys healthy.
- Resume recovery after exercise. Spanish studies have found that the hydration of a pint of beer is more effective than an equivalent amount of mineral water. Because beer contains more sugar and salt nutrition, it is also rich in potassium and B vitamins.
- Improve self-confidence. British research found that after drinking beer, participants said they were more confident.
- Prevention of cataracts. Canadian researchers have found that drinking a glass of beer a day increases antioxidant activity and prevents cataracts.
