It is said in the patent document that the car will find an error in the sensor and communicate with these drones via a Viacal-2-Vessel network. The drone then sits on the roof of the car, out of the car.
The drone will be served as a substitute for the perfect sensor from the car roof and will point to the nearest repair center of the vehicle, where the car will be fully rectified.
Do not make sure that this drone technology will be used for automotive or general cars. It is not certain whether the actual reflection of patent technology will be seen soon.
Theoretically, this technique seems to be very nice, but there are some problems with its practical application, the report mentions. General drone prices are not cheap yet. With such technology, the drone will be more valuable.

I reckon this patent will be very hard to grant, as there may be an issue to find the innovative-problem solving part in it. Pretty good idea though..
