Hey @stormrider75, I really love your work and pics. How long did it take you to master your drone? I am thinking about one getting myself, but I still have a lot of respect about it. So for now I leave it up to my camera operator to do this.

Hi @producerslife, thanks a lot for your comment and the kind words.
How long it takes to master a drone depends on the type of drone you intend to buy and use. Small drones or racing drones usually do not feature altitude and position stabilizers and GPS positioning and are therefore pretty hard to handle. But these types of drones are not very suitable for photography anyway as they can't move their cameras (e.g. from a horizontal to a vertical angle and everything in between) and do not allow changes on the camera settings. I think these two features are key for creative photography.
Photography drones that provide these features usually also have stabilizers and GPS positioning, also in the recreational / amateur segment. These drones are very easy to to fly, so a couple of minutes or hours of practice are enough to master your drone in a sufficient way to begin with photography 🛸 📷
