Be mindful of your choices ~Drop in the Ocean Choices

in dropintheocean •  5 years ago  (edited)

Jason wakes up and then gets out of bed. A choice he makes every day, one of the many choices he will make automatically. Waking up however is one of those choices that gets met with a bit of resistance, a nagging to instead stay in bed and not go to work.

Once he has put his foot down and made the choice to get up he puts his foot down and starts walking to the bathroom, making another seemingly irrelevant choice to brush his teeth. He then chooses to rince his mouth out, and clean the toothbrush, he chooses to open the windows to let in the air during the day...

"Seriously? Are you going to mention every single choice? Those are just routine things you know." Jason says in an agitated tone. He does not understand that although they are all routine they all started with a conscious seed.

"Can you just focus on the conscious choices, you are making it hard to think with your stupid moment by moment replay in my head." Clearly Jason woke up grumpy today, as he usually does and is now directing that anger towards...

"Get on with it!"

Now Jason is thinking about why did he wake up and start to get ready for work. He hates going to work a choice that was based on the options of having a job or being unemployed.

"You see there was no choice there, and I was only thinking about it because you can't shut up."

If Jason wanted me to shut up he could just stop typing, that is his choice after all. Maybe he is being a whiney bitch because he just realized he could have chosen a job that he likes more.

"Hey... ok yeah."

He then thinks well you don't always have that opportunity and that you should then look at the positive side which is being employed and not gangbanged on the street.

"I did not think gangbanged on the street."

What he wanted to write me saying that he was thinking was not a very good analogy, another choice he made, an example of thinking before you speak as they say.

"Clever."

Yes, Jason has his moments. Making the choice every day to be a grumpy asshole and sticking it out in a brain dead job because it works are choices that will overshadow any "clever" ones he makes.

"You know what I am sick of you. I am going back to autopilot and fuck all this being mindful bullshit. Fuck you."

"No Jason, fuck you and have a nice day."

I was wondering why gina and seteempeak show I like you, I thought it would be the alt text but alas it is the title... not something I thought gets used in comments. Smart. !tip 0.2 hide

Hahahaha funny but also very true - every single thing in life is a choice and the biggest one is sitting in a corner or getting up and saying "Life you hit like a bitch. I will get up and go on."

!tip 0.2 hide

Nice, yeah I like that because it is not happy-clappy positive thought bullshit which fair enough has value but more stoic which I like more :)

Seems like Jason gets rather triggered by the voice! Ah, work... that thing we spend most of our lives doing. Doesn't my wealth-redistributed world sound much better, a world where no one has to work?

Ah the voice that is right and won't let you forget it, the voice that will go through every scenario until it is right. Yeah, it is a prick. I like the redistributed but that will have to coincide with absolute intolerance for violence and crime.

urrrgh I forget to add this lol !tip 0.2 hide

Huh? I thought they changed to just curation?

I only used the tipuvote feature because of the benefit in % the author would get , also due to the SBD haircut hence you get more steem. The original @tipu feature is just to tip an amount directly and you may subscribe to people aka when they post you auto send them a set amount of steem. Obviously you can see where that is not as awesome as getting maybe 10 or 20% more back, as always profit is just a bonus and since he has delegators he does need to make payouts which can be considered profit same as @ocdb they are not unlike. So no profit if I buy someone a vote and since this is steem and vote value has no worth and is not an indicator of quality other than to the author or the name associated with a vote then I might as well just give people extra directly. Since it is that I want to give or have a means other than my worthless vote, as I said in voice it is all a moving target and how we think about things. Lol too much text for something I could just have replied. Yes to. haha

Well, I'm very glad you wrote all that and explained it, LOL. I haven't kept up with it at all since I stopped using it, so I don't know jack.

I would like to be able to give a 1 to 1 upvote also, (no profit), instead of my worthless vote, but I'm still not sure about trying to use this service again; or at least still not at this point.

Jasons such a goody two shoes. i mean who washes their toothbrush before they use it!?

I think he does it after using it, but it is a good idea to wash before use. Maybe it sucks up to Karma or something a bit :) !tip 0.2 hide
