In the center of a massive gaseous cloud some particles have decided to get together and show solidarity to this vast void surrounding them.

A planet had formed, not noticing that during its recruitment drive all the gasses have got together a long distance off. The gasses being affronted by the solids referring to them as a void decided to get together with the light and show the solids what real power is. They created a star, bright and hot.
Over the ages, the dark has been a constant and watched as all these patterns unfold inside of itself. It must have quite the smirk maybe even a bit of astonishment at the perseverance shown from all things in existence repeating and improving, identifying themselves in every imaginable way as unique, some purely basic laws to more complex engineering and life the unexplained pattern. It must smirk because, in the end, it has not seen itself so it knows it is unique, not a pattern but the puzzle box.

Super cool post, @penderis I enjoyed the contrast of patterns on different levels of existence - all the while rotating around one another.
Is one more significant than the other? Or does something as small as cracking an egg have an effect on the whole - other busy-ness going on in the universe? LOL Is it like a ripple of atoms and particles?

I think some just have a larger impact but within context something as simple as an egg cracking wrong can change everything for a person but a speck on the whole. Still to make matter and something matter we need particles no matter the form.

The way you have the columns set gives the words a visual pattern, but to me, the words in all of the examples illustrate a pattern in their composition and subject matter, i.e, each block of text offers a living scenario, (with varying degrees of additional scenario information provided), for the reader's consideration, without branching off into explanations of what we are to think or do after reading a scenario description. They're just there - like they are "Think about this, why don'tcha" challenges, or perhaps they may contain a code of some sort. All except the last paragraph, where you provide a summation, an explanation... or a conclusion, but it is outside the pattern established in the preceding paragraphs, signaling the whole exercise is completed.
Another thing that must be factored in though, was my knowledge of the fact that you were writing in pursuit of "patterns" as a topic for your composition, and that it may have persuaded me to see patterns at the slightest hint, where you hadn't mindfully intended there be patterns.
