“drugwars game money get paid” Those were my tags for that kind of posts. For changes and stuff I did on drugwars. It was fun. Main point here is “was”.
I don’t think that it’s “the end” of drugwars as a game itself, but it’s the end of something quite unique.
It’s a fact that the reward system wasn’t really sustainable or even good, but at least it was paying out in Steem. A currency actually worth something. Usable in the whole Steem economy. You can power it up, buy @tipu token with it, send it to someone else or you could buy other products and services with it.
The “future” token? Ehhh not so much. I’m getting 3 tokens per day. I could exchange 1395 Future Token for 1 Steem, right now. So it’s 0.0007 Steem per day. Borderline close to nothing.
I exchanged 3007 token now for 2.167 Steem over their website. Worth it? Maybe not, but I don’t care. I got 2.167 Steem on top of the rest from basically nothing. (Except a little bit of time and a starting investment.)
I will call once more !bookkeeping drugwars and that amount shouldn’t change much after that.
Now drugwars is like most of the other browser games, the slow painful waiting game with an internal premium currency for p2w. You can exchange that to “real” money with one/two steps, but it’s basically fractions of a cent for the player.
I think I will keep on following the drama from the future token, deinstall byteball and keep on doing other things.
I might be checking drugwars from time to time just for the drama. It’s still interesting that they are upvoting those “Look at my 1 rowdy getting killed by an army from the top player!”, cashing in the 10% beneficiaries from the post. But they are not upvoting posts that are about #drugwars and actually worth it. Like https://steemit.com/drugwars/@themarkymark/drug-wars-pulls-massive-bait-and-switch .
So this seems like the end of the party and fun. No more payouts in Steem, except for a little bit every 17 to 18 days. Most of the players which haven’t reached break even will most likely never reach it.
Guess it’s time for something else.
Should be last drugwars post from me, I don’t think that there will be something really good coming along (after all those bad decisions from futureshock).
So: Drugwars, just a bad browser game.

You made a profit of 42.x Steem plus a 2.x Steem cashout out of Futures, not bad!

The cashout from the Futures is in that net profit of 42 Steem, but I guess I was kinda lucky. Joining early and buying the Cocina before the price change was the main part of that profit.

I didn't make as much, but I joined pretty much as soon as I heard about the game for this exact reason. The model of this game, some call it a Ponzi, makes it so you are very likely to make money if you join early. Say what you want, but I saw the opportunity and took it.
