Since I last posted, I suppose the best of the summer has gone by. Highlights for me were a visit to Gettysburg, to visit the national park I had not seen since I was 6 years old, and to see a re-enactment before the hobby apparently dies out (good story on this in NYT). Also in PA, I visited Roadside America, a truly outstanding example of model railways and miniature villages and more. If you like this kind of thing, I highly recommend it.
Other highlight was annual Fergus Ontario Highland Games and Festival, the 'home' games for the Fergus Pipe Band of which I am a member and play the snare drum. Again, if you like Scottish celebrations, this is a big one and worth a visit, second weekend in August each year.
Now it is September, when the real business year seems to start, and things really need to get done if you promised them by end of December. Will have a few things to say about that on this blog...
