The math rock bug has bitten me again... listening to nothing but Chon, Tera Melos, the new Tippwerk, and generally the mathiest stuff I can get my hands on.
Shred. Mode. Engage.
My friend Michael, drummer for Zephyranthes (a sick local math rock band in Raleigh), gave me the chance to play on his electronic kit. Electronic can be weird, the kick drum always feels different, but this one is pretty good to play on.
It's been a while since I was able to share a drum clip and a lot of people were asking me - so, here ya go! A quick math idea I am shredding on. New drum stuff is coming soon - 2018 will be full of drum. I promise!!

Cool, I haven't heard this and I will check it out. Mathcore is some pretty intense music, lol, overlaps with tech-metal a lot. The Dillinger Escape Plan could be considered the forefathers of mathcore I think.

Rolo tomassi, the fall of troy, the dillinger scape plan, every time i die. arcane roots, a few songs from marmozets, maximum the hormonre. Not all of them are full math, but they do some of it, i really like those bands
