Lectro Cowboy

in dsound •  6 years ago  (edited)

A track for an album concept I'm working on. This track was composed using Reason 8 and is a work in-progress. All sounds except for the individual drums samples are created using combinations of synthesisers, appregiotors, & layering of effects(echo, reverb, delay, distortion, compression, Alligator(as inserts + as sends)). The track is formatted for use in deep house dj sets & Mastered using the Default Mastering Suite included in Reason8.

Thank you!

Love this music, starts relatively neutral but then it reaches its peak. Actually I am not a fan of electronic music, but the sounds is so amazing and the melody of it really good, I believe it would sound great with traditional instruments too. I feel some music distracts me but with this one I can imagine that I could be able to do my work too, just let it run in background and even because of beats it speeds up my tempo too :)

Music to my ears ) Thanks for listening!

Nice...i can imagine either coding to this in totally deep flow...or on the whole opposite side of the spectrum some electro/dnb music festival...around 5am, when most of the people are going to tents to sleep...and you're just high as fuck and going alone to some tiny stage to enjoy the time and just wave with the music haha :D

Nice work! Congratulations to these big upvotes, you earned it!

Many thanks,
Hopefully I see you at a show one day!

hah, come play to Innsbruck and i'll be there. Slovakia (my home country) will do as well :D Can I pay the entrance fee in Steem? :D

I would play for steem ! )

smart decision :D

I like this electronica sound like for a drug movie, action and chase, hahahaha, great. My respect and congratulations to you.

Thanks man! You might like this track too...

Wo, you're very creative! I like this.

I love the part around 2:20 minutes play. I love how you put in the high pitch sound i guess is organ or piano? I have little knowledge about electrical music, for me every song is similar. But yours is a bit different when it came to the middle of the song, it like a wake up call hahhaha.. at first horse running... then suddenly cowboy met some adventure then he continue his journey again. This was how i visualize when I listen to your music. Nice one @aleoni. How long have you composed electronic song?

That is my favorite part as well. A synthesizer(or synth) is used to make most of the sounds. I have been learning & producing past 7 years. Just starting to get into the story-telling aspect and moving towards the more minimal deep house sound. Thanks for listening and the great feedback.

7 years is long, you must have patience with electronic song. This would be first time I heard to tell a story with electronic music and you made it. I love this electronic song of yours. I must thank curie, if not I won't be able found you in steemit. Sorry, may i know what is house sound :p if you don't mind to share.

Well the song took couple days so far but I've been making music for 7 years. House is the 4/4 beat.
You would like these guys. This is that deep house sound.

Couple days to composed this song, the hard work paid off. oh.. i can't wait listen to the deep house sound of yours. Thank you for explaining it to me.

A good track of electronic music. I liked the rhythm that it has, it made me move my head to the beat of the music. Congratulations for such a good job.

I am trying to imagine the cowboy on his galloping horse with this beat. This is a nice way to mix the wild west and the city beat. Cool! 😊

There is a change somewhere starting from before halfway of the track. I just can't identify the timestamp as the progress timer is not showing, maybe because I'm playing through browser on my phone. But I like that better. I don't know how it is called in music terms but it is like a "second voice" playing. How do you call it?

I agree the track doesn't really pick up till that point. I Appreciate the feedback because it helps me make it better.
Thanks for listening!

You're welcome. So what was that additional beat? Is it something like what they call as overlay in drawings? I don't know what it is in music. I am just curious that it sounded like two tracks that were recorded while being played together... 😊

I think your referring to the overlay or layer effects on top of the song...
Its adds that double up beat feel to the track if I run sounds through echo or delay. I would compare it to an adjustment layer in photoshop where i just mess with different combinations until I get something I like.

Layer. Yes, it sounds that way. It was like you can remove that layer and a separate beat will still be able to play on its own.

Thanks for the clarifications. 😊
