Sounds great to me. Your recording quality is really good too.

Hey ! Thank you for listening and commenting dear @steevc !!
I forgot to mention that this track - which is my first composition - is about 3 years old ...
At the time I played on my electroacoustic takamine and recorded via its piezo microphone :(
The sound is not horrible but it's not totally to my taste anyway ...
Also, I made a great discovery since ... I learned that we could mix, equalize our tracks! hahaha! Which improves a little bit the final result ... (or not ! :)

Thank you for being here!

Did you play everything and record it in tracks? I hear two instruments, one playing rhythm.

Yes, I play everything. I record rhythm guitar first and lead guitar in a second time... It's not as exciting as playing live with real musicians, but for now it's the only way I've found to do something...

BTW, what part of France? Michel is from the north, about an hour from Lille.

Oh sorry I did not see your comment... Actually I live in région "Centre Val de Loire" between Poitiers and Chateauroux... In a sort of no mans land... there are essentially ponds, frogs and birds ! I was born in Normandy not so far from Lille I moved from...

Ah, yes. I know the area you mean, although I haven't traveled through there. We took a trip to the south of France earlier this year and the closest I came to you was somewhere on the A6. I'm hoping to get a long stay visa for France in the spring when I go back to the States. I'd love to split my year between Merlimont (Fr) and Eastbourne (UK,) with some other travel in between. Those are my two favorite locations thus far. But we'll have to see what happens ...if anything...with Brexit before I get my hopes too high about England. Who knows what that would bring for non-natives like me. :-)

nice tune! love that gipsy feeling

Hey ! Big thanks @acguitar1 ! Glad you liked it ! Indeed gypsy music is part of my influences ... But I love everything that swing! :)

it don't mean a thing if it ain't got that swing ;)

exactamente ! :)

Thank you so much for the upvote ! I love classical music but I don't play it... :( I'm just self-taught music practicing ! :) Thanks again !!!

This is the curation post for the #classical-music community, featuring the best of Classical ^^^ (and Jazz and folk) ^^^^
posting that has appeared in the Classical-Music tag in the past few days!

I love this!!! You're a fantastic guitarist -and composer!

And mixer and audio-recording artist. And visual artist.
I listened at DSound but couldn't comment there (until I sign up for an account). Congratulations on "Your post has been supported and upvoted from the Classical Music community on Steemit" - but don't be misled by the names @classical-music and @classical-radio - "We also support jazz and folk music posts," they write. #GottaLoveSteemit!!!

Also, I hope you'll meet @rhondak and her native-French friend, @michelios, who she met via Steemfest in Poland. Has Steemfest ever been in London or New York? I've never attended one, but there are many smaller fests all over the world. E.g., in Colorado.) Someday I hope to see you playing live, @bakingjazzpower!

Thanks a lot Carol !! What a great comment !!
I went to see the @rhondak and @michelios page... thanks for sharing !
Steemfest? I need to know what exactly it is ... I'm a new kid here! I still have lots to learn and understand! :)))
And regarding the live playing, I hope too !! I will make videos when I can... but for now, I don't have a camera with sufficient quality (And I need to work again and again and again !!!!)

Thanks again for being here !

Steemfest is a big Steem conference they have every year. This time it will be in Bangkok, and I won't be going. But I went last year when they held it in Krakow and it was amazing.

Ah ok ! Thanks for the informations... I'll go take a look !

:)

@rhondak, I thought of Erik Evans and his red guitar, his original compositions. You mentioned someone who might help you with the melodies (your lyrics, er, Eric's!). Did that ever pan out?
@michelios is from the north, about an hour from Lille - if you don't want to say in public where you are, @bakingjazzpower, that's fine (I try to avoid giving away my location, which may be kinda silly). Are you in any discord groups yet? I joined @classic-radio today on Discord, but never did figure out out to transer 10 SP. It's simple enough to transfer plain old SBD, but downloading a SteemConnect app that takes me to GitHub before I can delegate... whaaaat? No shortcut?? I finally gave up after squandering an hour of my day. So, you may be a newbie, but I'm confident you'll be teaching me the latest tricks before long.
Glad you two have connected, Rhonda and BJP!

I'm in a discord group (atomcollector records) but I'm rarely there... Real life takes me too much time! :) I will not be able to help you at all with the action of delegating ... sorry! And thanks for the connection ! ;)

Oh dear, I was not asking you to take time to help me with the delegating - LOL! - as usual, @carlgnash and @mariannewest came through. Be sure to discern your ACTIVE key password vs your POSTING key password, print and save in some safe place...
