We Are No Master of Time:

Against the towering beliefs,
That we host within our mind,
reigns the inadmissible truth,
that we are, no masters of time!

Every moment we are granted,
Are mere footprints upon the shore.
and when the waves of time laps over
these footprint’s; no more.

Somewhere between the ticking clock,
and the castles we build of dreams,
Are all the moments that we let pass us by,
like fish in meandering streams.

Neath the bridges linking all that’s past,
to that which is yet to come,
Like a shooting star way up high,
in an eye-wink, it is gone.

So, weigh up in certain urgency
& magnify wisdom at your demand,
then ask yourself:Do you live
in thoughts of moments,
or in the moment here at hand?

For today might pass you swiftly,
And the future is set in uncertainty.
