Home is where the music starts. I have lived far from home for over three decades and have created a new one that includes a wife, children, and familiarity with (no longer new) streets and (no longer new) customs and a (no longer new) language. Though "homesick" is way too strong a word, I have the tug. It is always there, always part of my day-to-day experience of life.
I nearly forgot: Special thanks go to Dario Seixas for playing the unplayable bass line.
The opening chord progression isn't terribly complicated; I "borrowed" (should I say "stole"? Hmm) it from my bass player. Everything else came from, well, I don't know where. Enjoy.
