Learn Portuguese with Cris #7

I'm @crissimoes and this is my seventh post here on @dsound! I have really enjoyed doing these classes. I know it is not easy to learn this language, but I will try my best and make the classes very simple and easy to understand.
Let's go to the seventh Portuguese class!

Numbers from 20-100

In the last class I teached you how to count from 1 to 20, do you remember?
Let’s say one more time!

1 – Um
2 – Dois
3 – Três
4 – Quatro
5 – Cinco
6 – Seis
7 – Sete
8 – Oito
9 – Nove
10 – Dez
11 – Onze
12 – Doze
13 – Treze
14 – Catorze
15 – Quinze
16 – Dezasseis
17 – Dezassete
18 – Dezoito
19 – Dezanove
20 – Vinte

Now I want to teach you how to count from 20 to 100. There is a specific rule that you can apply. First I want to start with the big numbers, 20, 30, 40 and so on. And then I will show you how create the little numbers in between.

Let’s get started!

20 – Vinte
30 – Trinta
40 – Quarenta
50 – Cinquenta
60 – Sessenta
70 – Setenta
80 – Oitenta
90 – Noventa
100 – Cem

We can see that from 40 to 90 the word finish with “enta”
Now the little numbers in between.

21 we say “Vinte e um”
“Vinte” which is twenty
“e” which is and
“um” which is one

It was like twenty and one, but in english we don’t use “and”.
So, let’s continue!

22 – Vinte e dois
23 – Vinte e três
24 – Vinte e quatro
25 – Vinte e cinco
26 – Vinte e Seis
27 – Vinte e sete
28 – Vinte e oito
29 – Vinte e nove
And then..
30 – Trinta

And will be done in the same way for the remaining numbers.
I will say random numbers.

32 – Trinta e dois
46 – Quarenta e seis
53 – Cinquenta e três
61 – Sessenta e um
74 – Setenta e quatro
88 – Oitenta e oito
95 – Noventa e cinco

It is very important to repeat several times, to be able to memorize the numbers.
