Original Song: Twisted Mind

Two days ago I released a video of this song exclusively on steemit, but thought I'd get it on here on @Dsound as well.

I sang this for @openmic a few weeks ago, and this is what I wrote about it:

"This song comes from many different places. It starts with friends I know who struggle with mental illness, and the distance between us that I just can’t understand. It's from being completely intimidated by the power, beauty, and sheer size of natural objects, particularly the ocean. It comes from the both the fear and peace of the thought of death. It's from seeing where Mother Teresa lived and worked in Calcutta, India. It comes from Soren Kierkegaard’s “Fear and Trembling”, and still not being able to understand certain stories that I’ve been told I should understand. And it's from not being able to control the thoughts in my own head, and wondering if I’m much more like my friends than I realize."
