SONG REQUEST!!!!

Hello to all of you friends!
It's a song requested by @lynncoyle1 for @briancourteau !!! It's called "Cat's In The Craddle" , it's a song by American singer songwriter Harry Chapin, a great song !The lyrics speak for themselves.
I decided to keep it simple as it's a story driven song.

I would like to donate 2SBD to show my support for Brian's ongoing battle against cancer. They made the decision to treat Brian with high %THC oil with 20 % CBD, which is great but expensive , so if you would like to donate to them , I am sure it would really help.
I really was amazed by the support they already received from the community, but the fight is not over, and we tend to feel better after helping someone, but we will never understand the pain they can go through, the fears, the unfairness, and the financial nightmare a disease can bring into lives.
You have my eternal support!
Good luck to the both of you guys,
I send you all my love...

Cat's In The Craddle

My child arrived just the other day
He came to the world in the usual way
But there were planes to catch, and bills to pay
He learned to walk while I was away
And he was talking 'fore I knew it, and as he grew
He'd say "I'm gonna be like you, dad"
"You know I'm gonna be like you"
And the cat's in the cradle and the silver spoon
Little boy blue and the man in the moon
"When you coming home, dad?" "I don't know when"
But we'll get together then
You know we'll have a good time then
My son turned ten just the other day
He said, thanks for the ball, dad, come on let's play
Can you teach me to throw, I said, not today
I got a lot to do, he said, that's okay
And he walked away, but his smile never dimmed
It said, I'm gonna be like him, yeah
You know I'm gonna be like him
And the cat's in the cradle and the silver spoon
Little boy blue and the man in the moon
"When you coming home, dad?" "I don't know when"
But we'll get together then
You know we'll have a good time then
Well, he came from college just the other day
So much like a man I just had to say
Son, I'm proud of you, can you sit for a while?
He shook his head, and he said with a smile
What I'd really like, dad, is to borrow the car keys
See you later, can I have them please?
And the cat's in the cradle and the silver spoon
Little boy blue and the man in the moon
"When you coming home, son?" "I don't know when"
But we'll get together then, dad
You know we'll have a good time then
I've long since retired and my son's moved away
I called him up just the other day
I said, I'd like to see you if you don't mind
He said, I'd love to, dad, if I could find the time
You see, my new job's a hassle, and the kids have the flu
But it's sure nice talking to you, dad
It's been sure nice talking to you
And as I hung up the phone, it occurred to me
He'd grown up just like me
My boy was just like me
And the cat's in the cradle and the silver spoon
Little boy blue and the man in the moon
"When you coming home, son?" "I don't know when"
But we'll get together then, dad
We're gonna have a good time then

Thanks for taking the time to listen and read brother!

Wonderful cover, one of my favorite tunes also. Harry Chapin, Cat Stevens, Johnny Cash, and now you, all versions I love.

Well I wouldn't put myself at the same level at these guys, but I've added my little contribution :)

Each of them bring their own unique take to the song, I like the Cat Stevens version, my wife likes the Harry Chapin one, and sometimes when I need a little bit more of Johnny Cash after his Long Black Veil song, I will listen to Cats in the Cradle.

Edit:
See below by Ed. I guess my wife and I both like the same version then, I think I am losing my mind, I must be in that mandela time ripple thing.

OK so I went to do a little bit of research, and there's a huge mistake online everywhere, Cat Stevens never recorded the song!
I am as surprised as you , as when I recorded today I had his version in mind, but it's actually Harry Chapin every time, and most youtube links will show you Cat Stevens picture, with Harry Chapin Song, you just have the scroll the comments to see the complains saying it's the wrong artist labeled!

Some people are even saying that it's a ripple in the time space continuum and we shifted reality... aaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhh

On the other hand I love Johnny Cash's version, because more mature I think

I did not know that. I am one of those in the time ripple I guess, because I thought he had sang and recorded it.

Mandela Effect hahahah :P

My oldest son and I both like this song. For the haunting melody, but also as a reminder to us of what could happen if we don't intentionally spend time together as father and son.

I'm very happy to be able to work at home and see my children often.

How is the computer repair shop going? That's awesome that your wife is homeschooling the kids!
That's my dream , I just very little time as I record the whole day and our place is not gigantic, and they're super loud during the day!
Sorry hahaha I went to stalk you and had a peak at your life!

We have 2 kids, and the boy this morning sang the song with me , it was too cute :) but at the same time like a conscious decision to spend quality time together before he went to school.
Anyway nice to meet you buddy!

I'm doing the computer repair and sales from home, which allows me more time with my family. The computer repair and sales is going okay, but I hope to transition to something else eventually.

I do have difficulty recording while the children are around... which is all day long. So I haven't recorded nearly as many videos as I'd like.

Thanks for commenting and reading my posts. Good to meet you too!

excelent record my vote??? of courses

Hahah thanks :)
