Squad up!

Collaborating is one of my favorite things to do musically and artistically. Getting together with another talented artist and co creating can lead to works that are more magnificent than what could have been created alone. Currently I am working on a few different collaborations, and just about ready to start rolling some of these out! Aside from this one, be on the lookout for collabs between myself and @emilystranger, @seveaux and @heaterville as well! I love how all my upcoming collabs are all with Steemians. Let's get it!

Cablebox is something that @elimence and I came up with quite awhile ago, before either of us came to Steemit. We wanted a collaborative brand for everything we did together, so that we could still maintain each of our own artistic identities. We paid a local graphic designer, Barrett Skul, to create the logo for Cablebox. If you like his work, I would be happy to give you his contact information. What we intend to do with Cablebox is pretty broad; from a record label/imprint, to promotions, to our own collective creations like this.

This song was originally shown as video form over on Dtube, as apart of my "In the Lab" series. I need to get back to that! Been doing so many different things. I decided to put this song in audio form because we have completed another song together I will be posting soon. We have decided we actually may start performing together sort of as a two man band since we basically have two songs so far, and have no problem making new ones. He is one of my favorite rappers and I think we may have something here!

For this song, I made the beat and played the guitar/bass guitar. We recorded this all together as one track so I can't do much mixing, but we recorded it pretty clean so it still sounds good.
