This mix was originally made for a DJing competition on a now long defunct streaming website. I can't even remember the name of it any more. Another from 2010 and the last thing I did before putting the 40 minute mix concept on ice for a few years.
As it was for a competition, I decided to be a bit playful and see if I could get a smooth flowing mix that would still bridge some tempos and styles over its duration. Ambient, chill, disco, house, funk, techno. A definite bit of humour in the execution and lots of heavy editing to get the breadth of tracks under the time limit. Again, this pre-dates my journalism years, so was based off the array of tracks I was casually sniffing out at the time.
