This is another song off of the 'Running Joke' EP that we made for him. We did this track first.
I remember when he wrote this song and we were moving into the production stages, he questioned the structure of it. It doesn't really follow your typical verse/chorus/verse/chorus structure, but I love how the song tends to jump around and flows a little more freely. It doesn't really have verses or anything, but more sections. I told him to keep it, and this is how the song printed.
I always try to reinforce the idea that music doesn't always have to fit with what's going on right now. Everyone is so hell-bent on trying to fit in, that sometimes it works against them. Don't be afraid to stand out, even if it's just in small ways. That's what you build your artistry around.

Love it. I think structure of a song has to be fluid to allow for creativity to flow. This flows beautifully and again hits the spot for me, great upbeat track.
