AlieNation (Intro)

in dsound •  7 years ago  (edited)

It's 2018 and immigration will continue to be a hot topic here in the U.S. So much so that a brilliant friend of mine, Emmanuel Chirume, came up with AlieNation.
The idea behind this project came about because some people who are trying to come to this country to live have been alienated by known subject Donald Trump. It has gone to the point that he insists on building a wall to keep others out of the country. As a matter of fact AlieNation has a layered meaning and consists of music, spoken word and visuals.

On one hand alienation means the feeling that you have no connection with the people around you. This is what some people trying to start new life here in the states feel.

Also remember that the U.S. was heavily populated by immigrants. What is ironic is that Trump/the government wants to ban some people. But people that look like him came here whenever they wanted, even uninvited I might add. The US is literally an alien nation made up of foreigners. Well all except the natives who were here first but I'll save that discussion for another time.

So to that I say enjoy this score I created as an homage to immigrants looking to start a new life and to those who feel alienated and left out.

What is immigration like in your country? Are you an immigrant from another country?

We don’t have much problems.

Our immigrants don’t explode.

They are often hard working, it depends of a person of course.

They could go to schools more often. But like I said they don’t tend to blow up and they work, so it’s OK.

There are of course some minor cultural things we don’t like, but like I said our immigrants don’t explode.

The situation is much better than other UE countries.

Best regards from France.

Ahh France! Cool. Thanks for sharing how things are in your country. Never been to France but it's known as a great place to be. And the wine is so good haha.

Solidarity with you, this policy of the new administration of Trump very much resembles double standards for emigrants, it seemed in a country like the USA, the cradle of democracy and such an appeal to people who want to change their lives and work for the good of your country. You are right, the United States was originally formed from some emigrants and the fact that politicians often forget it to become sad. Thank you @humanearl for the excellent track and your desire to support the emigrants!

It makes no sense because the trump administration is trying to ban predominantly Muslim countries. The crazy thing is that the countries on the governments list have a low or non existent track of terrorism in the U.S.

You are right, US politicians consider many Muslim countries to be terrorist, it's sad!

music it sounds good
Immigrants : The Struggle of Starting a New Life

I really feel for those who have to uproot themselves from their countries for various reasons. Unless they just choose to emigrate.

I've heard about the problems of immigrants in the US, the most unpleasant thing is that America calls on Europe for tolerance, and she does everything on the contrary. It's ordinary people who suffer from this double policy. The music is excellent, very sad. It comes to the article.

Thanks for sharing. I think many places in europe has better policies regarding immigrants than the U.S.

Every day news of news of many unfortunate people in news paper, social media, and television is available. It is a big idea to see that there is no elderly child, all lost and old, without getting to eat.

True. Very sad.

I am an immigrant here in USA. In india we have illegal immigrants crossing over from Bangladesh.

What does the Indian government say about it?

They try to deport them but mostly unsuccessful.

@humanearl,
The music feels me little horrible! Let's talk about immigration! I never did and no idea how it was! I was changed my living place once and it make me difficulties within the same country! So, I assume immigration to another country definitely a chaos for my viewpoint!
As you said, unknown place, unknown people, sometimes not with fluent language yeah people might feel isolated! So this is great!

Cheers~

I did my best to bring alot of emotion in the music. It seems that it worked! Thanks.

I am planning to be one of immigrant but currently i still leave in my own native country.so my question is " according to the state of US government now ,what advice will you give to person who is planning to be immigrant to USA now.

You are more than welcome here! I wish I was better at knowing what you have to do to come to the U.S. I don't know much but let me see if this link helps.

https://www.usa.gov/enter-us

It has been a hot topic before and it will be in future as well.People will indeed go from one country to another for the sake of them.It will be hard but will have to cope up with the situation though !
It is not that much of a hassle though in my country but in compared to US some people say it is worth it ,but in current situation it is going out of hand!

It will get worse since the current administration will make it worse and harder for people. I don't think that will be a good thing though.

I am not an immigrant nor I wish to be.

Whatever I am offered and whatever my country is whether pro or cons, I am proud to be here and I am kind of guy who do not wish to be an immigrant even within my country and I prefer to remain at the same place forever although I love traveling to different places across the world.

Anyway a nice article deqar @humanearl.

Thank you and Have a great day.

It's cool to know that you are proud of your country. I wish I could say the same as a U.S citizen. But that's just my opinion.

After reading this article what I can judge is that you are an excellent human being and whatever you have said in this article is absolutely true. I do need a peaceful place to settle but I want to see myself with the people of a same culture, I am not against anybody but this is what I wish to be.

Thanks

Being around familiar people always makes a move easier. I hope you find people of your same culture.

Yes ...thank you @humanearl

Yes US is hub for all kind of people across the globe coming to earn handsome paycheck and then after some time settling down there with their wives and kids. From India so many people are going to US and settling there, but with trump administration this trend is somewhat diminishing.

Thank you @humanearl....steem on and stay blissful...

It is getting much worse. You are right.

@humanearl - Sir that music reveal loneliness, sadness, feelings of tiredness & so many others... It looks like a reflection o what you said here... Sir I never immigrated & I won't do that too Sir... Life is not always meant to be money... I strongly believe that Sir...

+W+

That's exaclty how I wanted people to feel while listening to it since the topic is about how immigrants sometimes feel isolated.
