Rising Tide

Off of my 2017 EP Wind and Sea I bring you "Rising Tide." Enter into a sonic landscape of deep waves and reverberations bringing you to a mystical sea cave. Put on a good pair of headphones close your eyes and drift into this aural universe courtesy of Illumination Station.

Created using exclusively a eurorack modular synthesizer, this piece shows off some of the sound design potential tucked away by those ever present 1/8th" jacks and released through tangle of wires. Echoing waves and dark drones take over the landscape in this piece, interrupted by the occasional crash and crackle.

Please enjoy responsibly ;)

Thanks so much to all my followers I would not have the motivation to bring you new content every day without you... perhaps a bit circular but an audience can definitely help build motivation. Thanks again!

It looks like the sound / music of a monster movie

Love this comment. Going to listen now now.

Loving this. Will need to listen to this at home over my system as well. Maybe get half baked ;)

Yea some subs definitely help do it justice or even just nice monitors. It has a fair amount going on down in the low end.

I have a sub. I find it necessary for production. But I will for sure listen to it at home. \m/

Nice! I guess maybe one day I’ll get one but that’ll be after I build a studio in the backyard. Right now I rock some jbl 305s and audiotechnica m50s (best cans for the money in my opinion). It was taking forever to upload so it is an mp3 so a bit may be lost, but so it goes. It took about twenty minutes for a 10mb file... I wonder how long the 180mb file would have taken. So it goes though, my internet is terrible. I’m planning on changing providers soon.

Im kinda lucky with the setup at home. The room I use the neighbours don't hear a thing. Im on my second pair of those cans but i use the monitors more these days. Internet i'm lucky as well ;) Wont say anything further as i understand how frustrating slow internet can be. I live in Africa so for a long time it sucked balls!

The thing I love about your music is, it's not cut from the same cloth as everyone else's music... Your music sends my brain into some other dimension of thought. Bravo my friend!!!

Thanks man, yea I am a crazy mofo for sure ;) my music can be all over the place
