Hi friends, I am back with one more fantastic folktales from India. This is 4th episode of FTT-Fantastic Folktales from India Podcast. What are folktales? Folktales are stories passed down through generations, mainly by oral storytelling. Folktales are of very wide variety they may be fairy tales (or fairy tales), tall tales, trickster tales, myths, rebel, humor and legends. Folk tales gives us insight into our past in very plain language with punch of fantasy, every story- teller who tell folk add or removes plot or character depending on how he perceives world. In India, Grandmother (grandparents) are major folk tellers who pass their stories to us.
I am sharing one folktale very famous in their language.

Main re Main ( Me and only me): This oral tale was collected and retold by Vijaydan detha an Indian scholar, hails from Rajasthan India. This is a humors tale about a widow of rich landlord and farm hand.
