The RIGHT of EXPRESSION - Rock Your World: IMPROMPTU #1

in dsound •  7 years ago  (edited)

I decided to do a little bit of an impromptu podcast today because I felt quite strongly about the fact that we are all entitled to have an opinion and a voice - whether it is understood and/or respected by others or not.

I actually really enjoyed this kind of "ad hoc" expression today and might possibly continue this in future... hence the #1 on the preview hehehe....

Hope you peeps enjoy it and more than that, I hope that it has at least a "little bit" of a resonating message to those that can relate.

Until next time...

Much Love from Cape Town, South Africa xxx

@jaynie I love hearing your voice for the first time in this podcast today and I will be resteeming this soon! For what it’s worth I think you are beautiful just the way you are! I agree we all have the freedom of expression and it’s taken me a lot of work as you can imagine to accept that some people’s freedom of expression seems to disagree with mine and that is OK!

Thank you again @jerrybanfield. It can be very challenging sometimes to swallow or process some of the negativity that flies in your general direction, but if there is one thing for sure... it definitely makes us stronger and more complete individuals... especially when we begin to be able to re-channel the negativity. That's a real game changer... as you know well! Thank you so very much for your support towards what I am doing (or attempting to do haha) - it is exceptionally encouraging, and never expected a resteem, but WOW... thank you!!!

Your positive feedback has definitely added to my enthusiasm moving forward. I am very grateful for that. :)

Much love to you and your lovely family.

Self admiring?!?!? Man if they only knew what you have been through. Forget the haters!!!?

True Story @alao... TRUE STORRRRYYYY :) hehehehe ;) Nice to see you stop by... havent seen you in a while :)

I've been in the #thecut 😁

Glad to see you doing big things here on steemit. You got quite a following on steemit bloggers. It makes me happy to see all of the people that joined around the same time I came back on here carve out a niche for themselves.

oh so true @alao!!!! I could not agree more! It is wonderful to see such positive transformation!! Would love to have someone of your caliber join us... would you be keen?

I'm really bored tonight but good thing you were able to at least cheer me up with your cool post. Keep it up we need more of it ^^

I absolutely love this podcast! Will you please keep doing more because we will be listening? I feel safe listening to your podcast because you own your story and share right into the heart of the hurdles!

Thank you so much @jerrybanfield!! That really means an incredible amount to me because it has taken a lot for me to get to the point of being brave enough to actually go ahead with this podcast concept...

An integral part of healing is sharing, when you share it allows and gives others permission to share and heal. I enjoyed listening as I could hear the authenticity of your words. Your strength and power shines though.
Whomever triggered you into this reaction, whilst I am not endorsing their action of casting judgement on you, has gratefully led me to you.
Keep shining!

Thank you so much for the lovely comment and your very generous words @lovelivinglife - Glad you share the same mindset about it all and yes, an initially negatively directed situation definitely did take a turn for the positive so I too am grateful for that :) Lovely to "meet" you too! xxx

I can't even.... ugh!

All I can say is...

Awesome impromptu episode, though! Totes resonated for me, and you handled this with grace and aplomb, as always.

MWAH!!! Thanks love xxxxxxxx

@jaynie

Thank you so much for the wonderfully positive feedback @ahmads... that means the WORLD to me!

Little miss perfect?!

I get no sense of that. From your first podcast, and I assume from other writing you've done that I haven't yet read, you delved pretty deeply and openly into your past. Clearly you aren't perfect. You've certainly grown from it, but that's not perfection. Admirable, yes...absolutely, as it should be, considering that past and what you've been through, and who you are now.

But not just admirable, inspiring.

Keep inspiring. Keep growing. Keep speaking and expressing yourself.

SERIOUSLY delayed response @scotters... (been a bit manic) but THANK YOU!!!!! :)

You are most welcome! (Add me to the list of wanting to an episode with you if we figure out timing!)

will dooooooooo!!!! :)

Hey nice picture dear.....

Keep speaking your mind Jaynie, don't let anyone ever stop you! You really have been through a lot in your life, it makes my life sound like a walk in the park really, but I think that overcoming those tough times has helped make you into the amazing person that you are today.

Thank You @derekrichardson and yes I agree... the scars are all a part of what makes the whole

Wow! You glow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thank you dear!

You are most welcome.

That podcast was a perfect response to the negativity that came your way. I don't understand why some people are threatened by confidence, and resort to calling it self-admiring instead. I really really respect the fact that you showed such class in your podcast; it would have been easy to simply rant! I too 'found my voice' later in life and completely understand where you are coming from....don't ever lose it again, but from the sounds of it, I don't think you will. Cheers!

What a beautifully kind response @lynnecoyle1 - THANK YOU!!!! You know, it was SUCH an overwhelming thing to start doing, and now that I have... I actually cannot wait to start the next one... hehe... so I suppose that is a good sign! :) Thank you again for the lovely input and insight... it means a lot to me because this was a HUGE step in my life. XXXXXXX

I'm so glad you thought so...you deserved every word :) And you should keep doing the podcasts; you are good at it!

Thank you again hon xxx!!!!

Thanks for sharing your voice, @jaynie. Hope to have my own Steemit podcast too.

Thank you @timliwanag :) Let me know when you start it... would love to take a listen too :)

totally agree. everyone has the right to voice out his/her opinion regardless of its acceptability or not.

yip! :)

Well done. Banana rant next time. 🍌.

hahahaha :P yes yes banana boy

Alright.Hahahaha.

From all my heart I thank you for words and letters from which the perfumes of the infinite creativity are issued

Confidence is knowing who you are and not changing it a bit because of someone’s version of reality is not your reality.

Cute shirt. I liked the IPFS link better. Dtube has the option to speed up playback which is good.

People can be so mean. Nah it's word's we can control to let it bother us or choose not to let um bother us. But great post

Very nic post.

There are always those that take pleasure in pulling one down - but that is generally that they cannot aspire to your strength of character and so try to pull you down to their level to give themselves a sense of power.
You are an amazing woman and have a great future ahead of you - enjoy the journey.

that is good activity by you
