How Do We Live to 150 Years in Perfect Health?

I'm discovering the power of asking how to live a longer and happier life because the answers I get are then little steps I can take today in order to start realizing fantastic health results that I wouldn't have even thought were possible just looking around and saying, "Well, I'm going to live 70 or 80 years maybe like the people around me."

Thank you for reading about day 186 of Happier People Podcast and I hope you enjoy it!

How Do We Live to 150 Years in Perfect Health? #186

According to the data our lives in terms of quality, at least in the USA, are actually getting shorter. We are living sicker lives, full of more diseases and health problems that last a little bit longer than those before us. We could argue that our health is progressively getting worse.

How Do We Live to 150 Years in Perfect Health?

For me personally, I look now way better than I did 10 years ago. I'm grateful that I've started taking control of my own questions I ask and my own expectations, because while there are a lot of things I can't control, one of the things I can control is the intention I set for my life.

When I ask, "How do we live to a hundred and fifty years old in perfect health?" I'm setting an intention. I'm saying, "Look, this is what I intend to do. Life, universe, God shows me how to do that."

Asking questions is something we have a right to do. Any of us can ask any question we want to, and the questions we ask tend to determine what answers we get. I've found that as I continue to ask, "How do I live to 150 years old in perfect health?" I've gotten some amazing answers that I wouldn't have suspected just by going around and setting a lower expectation.

I see that if I want to live 150 years old I need to focus completely on prevention and life style. Prevention and lifestyle are the only practical options for living 150 years because I don't want to be getting a whole bunch of cancers, heart diseases and problems if I'm 60 or 70 years old, when I'm intending to live to 150.

Here's one of the amazing answers I've received for "How do I live to 150 years old in perfect health?"

Right in my backyard here I've started a garden. Now, this is not something that even three or four months ago I would have ever figured I would have done.

How Do We Live to 150 Years in Perfect Health?

This has been one of the answers I've received in to "How do we live 150 years in perfect health?"

One of the big answers is to have a garden because like a breast-feeding mother where the body customizes the milk to exactly what the child needs based on what the mother eats, when we grow a garden the plants in our garden customize what they produce to what our bodies need, especially when we're there to physically touch them, breathe on them, we're literally telling the plants at a body to body level what we need, and the plants then are able to give exactly that to us.

For example, if we're a little short in iron, plants can produce radically different levels of iron according to the book "Whole," which says that for example, a peach even though on the label it might say a certain amount of vitamin C, the amount of vitamin C between or among peaches can vary as much as 40 times.

That's the power of having our own garden. When we start setting these expectations and intentions out to the universe, it doesn't mean that they necessarily will happen, it means though that we get the benefits immediately.

When we ask, "How do we live to 200 years old in perfect health?" we start seeing concrete things we can do today. A garden is one of those concrete things. Another one of those concrete things for me is eating a whole plant-based diet.

When I ask the universe to show me how to live to 150 years old, one of the big answers that came through the book "How Not to Die" and "Whole," and through a bunch more things I've read and seen since then, including the official US government "My Plate" recommendations to eat fruits and vegetables for half of my diet.

Half of everything I eat are fruits and vegetables, and then most of the rest, things that are minimally processed, whole plant foods.

For example, having almonds is a whole plant food while almond milk is processed. That means a significant part of the nutrition has been stripped out from the original almond, therefore, less nutritious.

How Do We Live to 150 Years in Perfect Health?

When I ask, "How do we live to 150 years old in perfect health?" eating a diet with mostly whole fruits, vegetables and other plants is one of those big answers that come up.

According to the book "How Not to Die" we can expect to prevent all of the top 15 causes of death, every single one, by eating a whole plant-based diet.

Now, that provides a very good concrete step for how to live to 150 years old. It's not that we grow old and have to die, in fact it's that a lot of the things we do damage our bodies.

A lot of the things we eat cause us to age through DNA errors, through eating things that don't give our body what it needs, through poisoning our body, we age our bodies.

It's possible, according to the Bible, for these bodies or ones very similar to live to a thousand years old nearly. We see in the Old Testament frequently, I don't know if it was Joseph, Jacob or Israel, but I think he lived to 120 or so years old, and that was thousands of years ago.

Now, if someone thousands of years ago in the Bible can live to 120, isn't it reasonable for me to set an expectation today that I should be able to live to 150 years old with our modern medicine and all the things we know in nearly perfect health?

The only question is, how exactly do I take steps today to make that a reality?

What I've hoped I've shared here today is the power of asking questions that set an intention.

The question sets the intention, "How do we live for 150 years in perfect health?" and then the answers we get give us concrete steps to take today: plant a garden, eat whole plant, fruits, vegetables, nuts, grains perhaps and beans.

There we go.

Those are huge concrete steps that allow me to prevent the top 15 causes of death, that allow me to get all the nutrients my body needs directly out of plants, and then that goes into lifestyle after that.

A lifestyle where I spend most of my time with my friends and my family, where I'm not stressed out all day all the time, where I'm giving back and contributing.

I wouldn't want to live 150 years doing some job I hated. I wouldn't want to live a 150 years being all miserable and frustrated, and hoping the future would be better.

How Do We Live to 150 Years in Perfect Health?

You see when I intend to live 150 years, the lifestyle I need is also presented with that. I've prayed this, I asked, "How may I help today?" and this exact idea is what came up.

Thank you for allowing me to share this with you.

I hope it's helpful.

I appreciate you joining me here on day 186 of Happier People Podcast.

You're awesome and I'll see you again soon for 120 more years.

Man it is my one of the favourite questions to ask now a days. I have never received the right answer so far and I don't think there would be any right answer to it but yeah some of them have been interesting.
*Live in the country side

  • Live happily, try to avoid regrets and saddnes in life
  • Meet and greet as much people as you can.
  • Eat healthy food including green leafs and it is better if they are home grown as you mentioned.

I heard google was working on it on how can we replicate our cells without damaging them which will result in the stop of aging process.

yesssssssss jerry!!!!!! i found you on youtube and made my way to steem and steemit! brand new here!! full circle brother!!!! thank you!!!!!! i started on YT back in 2008 sharing about my garden and food forest here in utah. now, thanks to YOU.....i can start sharing here on steemit... about the 10 year old forest garden we have. i'm so with you!!!! eating fresh veggies, fruits and herbs from our garden and time we enjoy outside while growing them....= health beyond measure!!!!! pure JOY!!!!! please keep the garden and ALL..... posts coming!!!!!!

When I was a kid I remember my parents and grandparents all had their own gardens with natural organic food grown in which we ate from. In fact everyone from our small town had their own gardens.

And now, in modern times, instead of getting better and eating healthier we are actually getting worse. I'm glad that you and many others are starting to take big steps to go back to nature. Good content man :)

@jerrybanfield, if this guy can do it so can you, he is still raising a family and cutting fire wood at 125 years of age. He was an adult when the Ottoman Empire existed. nice post. resteemed.

Yes so true ,it’s very important to be healthy .Humans can only live for so many years now because of the food that we eat ,all the bad habits ,what people abuse there body ,alcohol, drugs and on the other side there’s so many ways to live long but it’s all up to us how we want to live long in this planet by looking after our self ,doing rigth thing like exercise ,eating healthy ,stay always on top of your game to be more healthier life to live longer.

Thank you for your good opinion🤠👍🏻

you're welcome @chrisjeong

helth is most important thing in life because without good health life is nothing

who in the hell wants to live for 150 years?

Super subject no doubt, and a great switch from the normal. We each have to depend on our common sense, and trust the simple explanations, even though the science is complicated, it's is very difficult to focus on just one thing. I am glad to see this post from you. Love it.

Great post Jerry! Health really is wealth, it's the only thing we truly own in this world. I too eat a predominantly whole foods plant based diet. ATM I'm doing a potato cleanse which is basically just potatos, vegetables a berries. It's great to see someone with such a big audience on here promoting health. I see people getting less healthy by the day and people even glamourising it with TV shows and "plus sized models" and such. I think we're at the age where we haven't done too much damage to our bodies, I for one am greatly I found this diet\lifestyle at 25. Peace friend ✌️

I think iodine may be underrated. I think it was smart of you to have a garden. In general I think fruits are healthier than plants. Plants usually have poison in them. I don't trust the nightshades like tomatoes and potatoes.

885B4E58-7CFF-41AE-B3CD-50CE4E9DF8B6.jpegHey @jerrybanfield i feel i need to comment on this, ive thought long and hard about what it will take for humanity to push itself to be able to sustain that kind of thinking. First ego needs to be set aside. We can no longer look at things with the preconception of creed, culture, race, country, orientation or anything else. We have to take a step back and look at it from the perspective of conscious humanity. Being aware that the world is full of problems and to fix it we need to start working together. We need to decentralize everything. Food, government, education, public services and employment. We need to band together through collective voting and capitol to single out the most important world issues and fund projects that work to fix them, that includes things like. New school systems legislature and governance will be extremely significant for reducing ignorance and enforcing community. Being able to fund a school by donating directly to their private blockchain. Things like know your ingredients, know your manufacturer, know your teacher, no more politicians just think, would it be anarchy or renaissance? Will i still be eating mac and cheese with hotdogs in 2025 or will i have gained access to the world on a whole new level. Will i even be alive to see that? Much love i hope this tickles your brain and makes your thoughts on living longer more focused. I personally am okay with the androidism scenario. Parts fail 3d print me a new one.

It is not possible but We can try to increase some years of our life.

this question can only be answered by a person who has reached 150 . but unfortunately on steemit there is no such person. wait for me if i reached there i will answer it.

Health is life sir the life we are living is directly proportional to food we eat

lol...What kind of pose is this?? Are you pissing?!

Very nice discovered....informative post.....

Good As Always Nice!

Excellent article @jerrybanfield. In my opinion it is likely that people born today can live upto 150 years, if they follow a raw vegan diet as much as possible. Raw vegan diets are full of antioxidants that neutralize the effects of the sea of toxins we live in. With the discovery of telomeres and genetic engineering this may come true. Stem cell therapy will also go a long way in healing and preventing deadly diseases that shorten our lives. Thank you for sharing :)

nice!!!cool post....@marielitux

Knowing that my life is in God’s hands gives me so much peace. I don’t ever have to worry too long or feel too fearful. 💐

  ·  7 years ago (edited)

Someday, people are gonna live for 500 years I guess. Technology and medicine both are advanced. We can fight fatal diseases that helps us live longer. Thank you for your well written information.

Something difficult but not impossible to reach the age of 150 years. If it is the will of God, you can easily reach that age as long as we have a good lifestyle and especially food.

The oldest man, in the old testament, was Methuselah. Here is some memory refreshment :-)

Im enjoying your content....very good

It is going to be a challenge but I believe you are up to the task. Growing your own food is very essential to living a healthy life. This is because you know what you are eating. Unfortunately, many of the foods today are filled with antibiotics and preservatives that damage our bodies.

Taking fruits, vegetables and nutritionals keep one's system alive for years. Cellular nutrition is key in the body of humans. My contribution

A few years ago I attended a workshop from Wymar Institute. The reccomendation they made to cure diabetes was become vegan and walk. It definitely removed all of my symptoms, while I as following the diet. It was hard for me to follow while working in churches, where pork BBQ is considered a delicacy. Actually, I hope for you and all of us what has been promised to those who put their faith in Jesus, eternal life!

KJV Luke 24:36 And as they thus spake, Jesus himself stood in the midst of them, and saith unto them, Peace be unto you.

37 But they were terrified and affrighted, and supposed that they had seen a spirit.

38 And he said unto them, Why are ye troubled? and why do thoughts arise in your hearts?

39 Behold my hands and my feet, that it is I myself: handle me, and see; for a spirit hath not flesh and bones, as ye see me have.

40 And when he had thus spoken, he shewed them his hands and his feet.

41 And while they yet believed not for joy, and wondered, he said unto them, Have ye here any meat?

42 And they gave him a piece of a broiled fish, and of an honeycomb.

43 And he took it, and did eat before them.

42 And they gave him a piece of a broiled fish, and of an honeycomb.

43 And he took it, and did eat before them.

Veganism in the light of the Bible. Veganism can't be aligned with Christianity I am sorry.

I like it @jerrybanfield

Jerry, your images didn't post properly. Just FYI. Otherwise, good information.

Ah, reloaded the page and they're working now.

Awesome piece, i really learnt a whole lot, i guess I have to start my own garden and also more of plant based diet, that way i can stay away from processed and canned foods which are actually of no help to us.
Thank you for sharing

I agree for having your own garden even if it’s on a little balcony.you have full control on what you are adding to it. My backyard has a lawn which is now a veggie garden.

I’m pretty sure another step into living longer would be to stay away from all electronic devices it that means no more Steemit... 😥 maybe you can blog by writing blog on paper and send it to someone to type it for you lol.

This is the first post I discovered of the series. Have you talked about Kombucha or Water Kefir and other fermented food?

Many scientists believe that there is a relationship between inert matter, living matter and intelligence. So it seems to me that people exaggerate with immortality. No, things are fine as they are. If life were eternal we would not put in it the same intensity. I do not worry about that immortality.

But one of the advantages that a longer life would bring is that humans would get used to thinking about a longer term. That would make them more aware of the problem of the environment, for example.

For this it is not necessary to extend life. We already elaborate different temporal perspectives. For example, we are celebrating Darwin's bicentennial. His was a very broad perspective. We talk about geological perspectives of time. In a reduced vision, of short term, the evolution does not fit. The approach of evolution does not fit. And of all this we have already been able without living for so many years. @jerrybanfield

I don't agree on the modern science having made great changes to our life expectancy. If you take a closer look, we have used science the wrong way. We have been using science to constantly break the natural balance. The discoveries we are trying to make are disruptive in nature and disruptive technology gets potrayed as great work. While I feel it's the opposite. Disruptive technology means out with the old and in with the new. But that puts too much stress on environment and also on humans who have to upgrade themselves to adapt that technology.

Overall it's a good post. Happy I found it in the midst of so much spam.

I voted for u and it originality.

Nice your post
Good @jerrybanfield

Living up to 150 year old is not only about the health, but every other things like finance also. I do not wish to be homeless on my 150 birthday.

  ·  7 years ago (edited)

I agree that formulating the intention is a great step. God just says be and something is. So if you have His support, living past the average human lifespan is possible. I too think that having more control over the production of the food consumed can help.

Sir you are great 👍💞💞👍

I liked the post and especially that in the backyard of the house I liked your spotlight on this fashion

great podcast :) we all defs need to work more on our health as that is the main thing.

We cannot live 150 years in our original bodies. We would need some kind of new organs or entire new bodies to reduce the damage of time.

What do you plan on doing with all those years, Jerry? I know what I'd do but you wrote this article :-D

It was so very interesting blog. Suddenly, I've post a blog regarding to have a longer life too but in a different way. Because in my blog, it was a simple discussion about non communicable disease. I love reading this kind of blog towards our health. Nice work sir@jerrybanfield. Keep it up!

Hi, all plz. Raise your voice for syria's children..

I do think it is really important to move away from mass-food-production to create an healthier and more sustainable environment, this would make us all live a bit longer.
Personal happiness is also one of the major facts to live happy and long as you also mentioned.
Interesting post.

My friend would always say, You cannot spell 'Diet' without Die'

Plant-based lifestyle representing! I'm a huge fan of Dr. Michael Greger! Have you checked out the new How Not to Die cookbook?

  ·  7 years ago (edited)

Quite. Medical interventions (many actively harmful but not actionably lethal) and perverse rewards, are breeding a weaker and weaker genetic base with people crumbling mentally and physically. The cause is the corrupting Social Model and its corporatist paymasters, especially big Pharma and agri business.

Nice blog. Following.

Hi greetings we all want to achieve success therefore success does not come by itself without paying attention to others others may not sapot us tampa pay attention to others ,,,

Hey Jerry

Grrrrrrr...I hit the enter button too fast! So, I like what you're saying here mate, you love to ramble on but, hell, so do I...I may do an audio rant just like yours!

I'm 44 years old, a red head (so no grey hairs yet) A teacher and seasoned musican as you've probably now seen from my blog? but you know what Jerry, I would love to live a long and healthy life, because, I've definitley realised at my age that, money is just the cherry on top of lifes big cake, the sugar, the nectar and very reason why we crave it so damn much! So I want to thank you for this insightful @dsound audio post, I enjoyed it.

do we really wanna live old and falling apart ??? lol
