The song
One of my favourite things to do in music, is to create harmonic contradictions. In this song, I started off with a 90s-inspired hip-hop beat on a prominent bass line. You wouldn't say it's going to be song about love, yet the lyrics create an immediate contradiction. In my opinion, it's always about balance. A contradiction can be created, but it also needs to harmonise at some point. This is why in the pre-chorus, the drums disappear and the bass line is pushed to the background. This makes room for the other instruments, changing the theme to something much more passionate. In the chorus, the bass line is supportive rather than the leading instrument and the resounding guitar sounds create an ambient atmosphere.

The visuals
I wanted to visualise the energy that I feel when being passionately intimate with the one I love. The dark areas resemble the depth of your feelings and fantasies, the lighter purple areas are the softness and oneness, while the yellowish accents resemble the electricity; the spark.
