Chrysopeia (DJ Mix)

In alchemy, the term chrysopoeia corresponds to the transmutation of base metals into gold.

Chrysopoeia reads as "χρυσοποιία" in Greek.

χρυσός translates to "gold," and ποιεῖν, "to make".

It is symbolically used to indicate the creation of the philosopher's stone and the completion of The Great Work.

"Symbolism is the language of the mysteries. By symbols, men have ever sought to communicate to eachother those thoughts which transcend the limitations of language." -Manly P. Hall

If we consider that alchemical wisdom is transferred through symbolism, then we must assume that the transmutation of lead into gold is also largely based on symbolism and allegory. The "puffers" of antiquity were charlatans who foolishly attempted to extract physical gold from alchemical wisdom. These accounts were nothing more than soulless pursuits of money, fame and power.

The true alchemist understands that the great work is in the transmution of our lower, base selves into the gold of enlightened awareness. The goal of alchemy is not worldly riches, but inner riches through the blossoming of human spirit.

From the perspective of nobility and self-responsibility, we lay the foundation for a deep cultural alchemy on a societal scale. A shift from the grip of centralized oppression and slavery, to a global community of voluntary purpose and contribution.

One we "tune" our individual "instruments" we are ready to harmonize and flow in blissful cooperation in ways our world has yet to see.

It is my belief that music is and always has been the seed and soundtrack of cultural uprisings throughout time. The music I create and curate speaks to our individual and collective Great Work, and I hope it finds a deep place in your hearts and minds as it has done mine.

This DJ set was performed live at a private event on the Puna Coast of Hawaii.

I crafted the journey to invoke feelings of softness and sensuality for life. To awaken the senses and emotions, thus allowing for a greatly enhanced experience of reality.

Moments of communal blooming are forever frozen in the matrix of this mix.
