Demo For Nico - by @playitforward

Hi Steemians!

This piece is a demo that I had written for a director named Nico. Here's a common thing that happens in music but there's a positive ending. Directors often want to hear custom demos for their projects before telling the budget. So a short demo that is unpaid may take half a day, unpaid, and then they often end up realizing they can't afford you or they simply chose another composer. I've also been asked to demo by producers who had no intention of actually hiring me, they were just jerking people around to get them to make something to say they looked around for composers. Ironically enough, they all came back and tried to hire me for it after all. I had to turn it down because the budget came too low after all. This piece represents a less bitter side of demoing, where you get to own the piece and use it for whatever you like. I recorded a simple piano demo for this short romance film. Keep in mind, solo piano is not usual for a demo, usually, people want to hear the piece with full orchestration and mixing because often they can't see the creative approach or possibilities ahead without doing that. Make your demos purchase worthy. As I post an example of the contrary.

Anyone who wants to sample this feel free to dig in and shoot me a message on Discord when you do @playitforward#3080.
