The Exploring Sound Podcast

Series One - Let's Chant!

In this series, each day we will introduce to you, a new 5 minute chant.

The chant will start, and finish, in such a way, as to be seamless, if placed on repeat.

Each chant will be in the "Call - Response" format.

First you will hear the chant performed for you. This is for you to know what to chant.

Then you join in for the 2nd chant.

This then continues in the same format. Call-response, Call-response, Call-response.

This kind of chanting is designed to induce an altered state of consciousness in the participant, and can sometimes lead to a trance state of ecstasy.

AUM

The Seventh of the 7 bija mantras, Aum is the mantra for the Crown chakra (Sahasrara in Sanskrit).
