This song was written by Debbie Harry and Nigel Harrison for Blondie's third studio album, Parallel Lines releaswd in 1978.
I first heard it in the 1990s when an ex girlfriend played it to me. She liked new wave, post punk and pop artists /like Blondie, U2, REM / while I was more into hard rock, grunge and heavy metal at that time, but I really liked the song and Debbie Harrys vocals in particular. I recorded this for my BUILD A TREE project, an album of covers I did 2 years ago. My version is closer to the hard rock genre and my vocals are far from Harrys girl power style but I think it came out fine.
