Chokoku-ji Temple is located in Hakuba, Japan and is 1 of 2 temples in the town of 9000 people. The temple is known as the home of a few hundred-year-old trees. Most notably, 2 trees that are said to be more than 500 years old. We were visiting at the end of the winter season so the ground was covered in snow. After visiting the trees, we spent long moments observing the statues and temple bell. The temple's bell is very well designed and the craftsmanship is amazing.
