Someone sent this to me as a reminder.
I don’t understand the video.
Daylight Saving Time is ending, not starting. It’s resumption of Standard Time. Why would she do a whole segment on this and repeatedly imply otherwise?
And as she correctly said, folks get an extra hour of sleep (if they want to do that), or get their usual amount of sleep but get to be leaving for work an hour later than usual. And in more sunlight than usual. So why would they be groggy or post more of a hazard on the road on the way into work? On the way home it will be darker but they won’t be groggy.
It seems like even people who are supposed to be authoritative and go out of their way to inform others doesn’t know what they’re talking about.
More likely is that I don’t know, and all that stuff about grogginess is true but I don’t expect it to be so. Maybe someone can explain.
And if it is true, does that mean there is more danger driving on a weekend morning because people have have gotten a bit of extra sleep?
