Most minarchists want more of state than that from my experience. But in your case, why not just a step further and decentralize the militay to militias and any other free market solution?

If you decentralize the military to a collection of militias and mercenaries the territory your anarchist society occupies will be conquered town by town and house by house until nothing remains. Each battle will be fought 1:100 in favor of the invaders. Those mercenaries you hired will be bought out by the invaders as well, unless they're zealots or something.
