Aron Ra’s first argument is, why would God care about what we believe etc. But he’s not grasping the definition of belief and disbelief in terms of scripture. Belief is about trusting in Christ’s finished work on the cross. It’s not about thinking God exists or not. Disbelief is rejecting God’s gift of grace through Christ.

Honestly, arguing the point makes it hard for either parties message to be absorbed. Instead of bantering back and forth in public, I think the conversation would have been more conducive if they had used non-violent communication with one another. I can't say I stand with either of the two extremes, I am more agnostic than atheist. If I had attended the event, I probably would have walked away from this thinking that both were wrong.

I think when Atheists and Christians debate it is only for entertainment. They are not actually trying to change the other's views but are just trying to get in their point. It is similar to talking with liberals about gun control. No one's mind is going to be changed. I am a Christian, and I cringe when I hear Christian's debate Atheists. It is never a real debate, it is always the Atheist grasping at straws and the Christian not actually knowing what they are talking about. The simple fact is that both sides are un-proveable and as humans it is hard to wrap our brains around that. All I know, is that I am much better when I am in the Bible and trying to live like Jesus has taught. When I am not, my life gets chaotic. So, if it is real or not... doesn't really matter for me, it works, and that's what matters.
