Greetings,

This is kind of a video response to a post that's getting a lot of engagement right now on Steem.

@adetorrent I agree 100 %. the advantage is clear, all those platform will have also hard times at least until prices will raise again. We need to continue to be patient. I like this video, also I hope to see you soon experimenting like you did before. You have a great charisma, I would like to see you spreading it also in other challenges . Big hug Bro. I hope to see you this 21st.

Bro, I'll try my best to make it. It's been so long!

Agreeeeeeed
I did sign up with WS and Weku... but like you say, I am already spread thin here on the SteemVerse so never really managed to do anything there
Even here, how do you support all the DApps without spamming your feed? hahahaha
I am relatively happy here too ...

Yeah, that's what I used to tell my team... you want to copy someone's style, sure.... but you better be so good and then some for anything to even happen let alone beat them at it ....

Good one :)

Very well said! You really have to outshine the original to gain any traction.

First Mover's advantage. I like that term. That's the first time I've personally ever heard that term. Thanks for schooling me o'wise one.

LOL, I learnt the concept from my dad. I'm not that wise yet haha.

I like steemit... I want be here... it give me food last 3 years.. so I'm sure it gives more also in next years and lot :)

"First Mover's Advantage" can the same be said for myspace?

Yes, that's actually a great example. Facebook provided something a LOT better than Myspace so people happily moved over. Also, Myspace destroyed their own platform by turning it into a cesspool of malware and pop-ups. It just got really bad on there. That was when FaceBook was "nice" with no ads and when they weren't yet selling personal information for money.

Good news! It’s the beginning of a bull run!

Competition rules should not really be compared to social interaction. Engagement is all about appealing to something other platforms don't give. True Steem was first and so has the advantage to continue to innovate first. But that predicates on the idea of consistently iterating on your advantage. ie not resting on your laurels as they say.

Of course I come at this from a non-crypto point of view but to me community should be more about a shared experience through good and bad times more than if should be about celebrating when things are on the ascendant. Or to put is another way.

"We don't have to take our clothes off to have a good time"

Anyway, interesting points and to be honest Steem is the first platform I have even considered actively engaging in which for an unimpressionable cynic like me is highly unusual.
