Demonetised Influencers Up For Grabs

People,

So Google/YouTube has done another massive monetisation clampdown. A lot of the creators formerly earning a living on there are now scrambling for a new home. A number of them have actually gone to DLive, believe it or not.

Every time I've come across one of these people, I've dropped a hint about Steem/Dtube.
The more 'free-speech' related ones I've mentioned 3Speak.

What's in all this for us?

Well, that's just the thing. See, these content creators are desperate to have their YouTube followers come with them to whatever platform they're migrating to. Someone with 2 million loyal followers can easily bring about 10% (200,000) active consumers along with them.

That's crazy! And it's more than the number of active users we have right now. Consider that.

Also, these are usually non-creative consumers who will probably be happy to buy tokens in order to support their creator. I think the benefits of that for our blockchain are obvious.

So if you come across one of those affected influencers, do leave them a link to Steem. This is our chance.

If I come across anyone in this situation I'll suggest Steem. There are others who don't make a significant amount elsewhere, but could do much better if they bring their fans over. We need a marketing campaign to promote that.

We definitely do. DLive has done very well with the marketing I have to admit. They've all heard of it.

Somehow they recruited the biggest YouTuber, so it's no wonder. Steem needs a few big names to bring in others.

It sounds like a good idea but if past history tell's us anything it is that YouTube followers do not tend to follow former YouTubers that try to leave that platform?

U+R

I think it's probably because those YouTubers never really leave. They say they're leaving, then come back to YouTube.

I know what you mean. Casey Neistat is always 'leaving' just clickbait for the drama.

Hey, we have a token for that too! 😂😂😂

It always bothers me when we hear ideas to mass onboard new users.

This approach always is seen as scammy by a skeptical public imo.

It sounds desperate and ponzi like. People have a dim view of ponzi schemes without realizing that most businesses are fundamentally based on the principle of the greater fool theory.

Steem isn't built that way. You can blog your way to earn steem with no investment needed or required.
