"Lick the Cat" My first try at an Animation of Gigi Rüf from Snowball part1

in dtube •  6 years ago  (edited)

please watch Youtube link if Dtube fails to load.

Here's my first attempt to animate over or scribble over my videos, ADi-HD Insta-Flick of Gigi Rüf tackling a snowball at the Banked Air in Ischgl 2018. the lesson learned with the animation was "keep it simple stupid" which is exactly what I didn't do!
ENJOY!

Yo dude, I thought that was cool man!
Loving the snow natas spin trick too!!
I like the ‘scribble over’ effect, I always mean to try it but always seem to never get round to it!
Looking good bro!!

Thanks Man! yeah I been meaning to get round to it for time, took me quite a while to do this one, done other simple ones since, you should check out the vid I just put up on YT, or wait till later and I'll stick it on here for ya, it's the video of Radlands 7th anniversary, the one where Mike Valleley kicked off. loving your vids btw mate, I don't have the "whatever it takes" to point the camera at meself, Is Dtube working out good for you then? don't know what I'm doing wrong on here but don't seem to be able to break through to the viewers like you have, my older videos don't even play anymore I had to go into every blog post on steemit and link the youtube videos,(which is exactly what I was trying to avoid by coming to steem! anyways go easy bro, and best of luck to ya!

Sorry for the late reply, I had a hectic week!
Love that radlands clip bro! The Sheffey footage is so sick!!!

Regarding dtubing I will say that although it is incredibly awkward to selfie film yourself at first, dtube and the other daily users like supporting ‘real people’....
With so many accounts just reposting other people’s content, I found that starting a video with a personal introduction (cringe😂) is like the ‘proof’ that you are real and are interested in engaging with the community.

I feel that is the main difference between starting on YouTube and dtube.
YouTube wants you to post pro looking edits with a straight to the point feel, whereas the dtube crew will reward a video showing your opinion in something, or a topic that will compel people to comment...

But after saying all that... I dunno! Hahaha!!

I would recommend a short (about 2 mins) video where you talk to the camera and tell people what you are about and what you are going to be using dtube for.
Also first impressions about the platform... lwhat you like about dtube, what you don’t like....
Ask for help (in a video) with anything you don’t understand (ask questions and the community will usually engage).

I believe that dtube videos disappear after a while and apparently that is only for the time being. Eventually (with the new dtube version coming soon) like any other platform, our videos will work forever. Also they’re figuring out how we can earn for ever (as in, they have a way to get rewards after the 7 day payout window).

Anyway, hope that helped a bit!
I’m no expert, but people on here often comment on my videos to tell me they love that I talk and banter to the camera.

Keep at it bro, 2 -3 vids a week is the way to get people to notice you, it’s intense but it really does (eventually) work!

Have a good one dude! Can’t wait to see more stuff!! =)

Cool Man,
Yeah, Thanks for taking the time bro,
Great Idea with the intro vid,
I'll try to work out how I can make that intro vid without too much cringe, it's gotta be poss.
maybe I'll do it, Have to think hard before I turn the gun to my own head, haha!
I know I'll have to adapt to Dtube cos it's not gonna miraculously be the Ideal tool for me and my needs obvs, but it could be close if I adapt to it.
For me I end up getting no views or payouts on vids, which is fine by my if i get no views but after a week they no longer even load when you try to watch them.
I'm not really trying too hard to promote them as I don't really GAF about getting tons of views, but I would like to break through the ground floor,
I tried commenting lots and engaging with others etc but it seems to me and I could be wrong,
That unless you pay money and buy a few steem dollars etc and play their bitcoin market a bit, then you get noticed but as I have only put up content/comments/likes etc then they don't even get onto the view lists in the first place.
can I ask if you ever "bought" steem or whatever variation on the theme, or if like me you just built it up with content and engaging etc?
to be honest I never got my head round the different types of steem power/dollars and never worked out whether best to transfer it to savings or dollars or power or what?
All I've done is claimed the rewards when they come up,
I have the feeling this could be why i never got off the floor?
what do you think? have you traded or transfered it about at all?
I get it that you have very different uses for it than I do, pretty much everyone has their own way,
but all I want is a viable stable video platform that works,
an alternative to Youtube,
I would love to ditch youtube altogether, when I started on Dtube thats what I did,
but I had to go back and use Youtube again because Dtube simply doesn't work!
Steemit on the other hand has been great, not too many problems there,
for me it's just the video hosting bit is still a long way off.

Thanks for being there Nicolcron, really interested in what you have to say bout this and exactly how you and others use the platform,
Cheers buddy, go easy!
