My most productive time of the day
Today, I want to share with you a simple but very effective trick that can tremendously increase your productivity. You see, most people, including me have their most productive time in the morning, or late in the evening. Why is that? This is closely related to our eating habits, because when you wake up in the morning your stomach is empty and the same thing in the late afternoon after your body digested all the food you've eaten.
Did you ever felt down after eating a big lunch or even felt that you need to take a nap? You probably experience this sensation daily after taking your lunch and your productivity, your focus, and your concentration power go down for the next 2-3 hours. This is because your body has to focus its energy on digesting that food, and it does that by increasing the blood flow to your stomach, so less blood flow for your brain. Less blood flow for your brain means decreased concentration power and a feeling of tiredness.
I am entrepreneur and I usually work more than 12 hours a day, but it's not just about putting in the work, I have to be my best all the time, so in order to avoid this tiredness and decrease in concentration I started focusing on what I eat, and especially how much I eat. My rule is to take less than 400-450 calories per meal. Yes, this means that I am eating more frequently but that helps me stay focused and avoid those drops in energy.
You can use an app like MyFitnessPal to track the number of calories you eat at every meal.
