so as with most people in this world its a question that everyone asks, but I'm not here to give you an in-depth view into my mind or anything.
I'm here to introduce myself and my reasoning for joining steemit and dtube.
so the short version, I'm learning to engrave glass and I feel that everyone could benefit from reviewing how I do things with my engraving and hopefully not make the same mistakes as me.
so why steemit and dtube? I'll be honest I found steemit through a google search for video sharing and non-censoring and voilualla I'm here, dtube came later as a fellow YouTuber did a video about the differences between the platforms.
so I decided to give dtube a chance and so far its been interesting, I've got a few suggestions and complaints but ill leave them for now.
in regards to steemit, well I've never done blogging of any kind and as steemit gives me the opportunity to blog i thought why not? and so I'm here learning how to blog and how to use dtube.
now you know a bit about why I'm here and on dtube, I guess I should ask, can I bring anything valuable to you? the reader of this post.
and my answer is I hope so and even if I cant bring to you anything valuable then I can be happy that I've directed you to a hobby that you may get interested in and outdo me in.
now about the hobby.
engraving has always been an interest of mine as I learned it when I was very young around 7 or 8, now bare in mind I was only doing trace engraving with an image under the glass and I was a kid.
I hadn't picked up any kind of engraving for years then around 3 months ago I found a youtube video on engraving and I got hooked, I'm not great at it and there is a lot to learn before I can call my self-good but that's why I'm learning to engrave, I'm determined to improve and become a better engraver and who knows do a few commission pieces.
about my youtube channel and dtube channel.
now some of you may have noticed I've got some of my other content on there that's mainly due to my learning curve, but I'm getting better at posting and tagging but I do wish there were more tags available other then just 4 on dtube it's not good and need expanding.
I've been building the youtube channel for edd learns to engrave for a little while and ill admit i enjoy recording the work more than editing the work but that also something I'm getting better at.
so I guess that's it for my first real blog post, feel free to let me know what you think of my content how you like to see me improve and if you have any requests then please let me know I'm always willing to give most things a try.
thank you edd signing out
